It was a great session! I think my favourite moment was when we were divvying up the gear from Wik's brother's dead elf. When he said, "What do I need a bow for on my fighter?", Wik and I looked at each other at the same time and just laughed.

For what it's worth I didn't know, so I couldn't ask. More importantly, Google doesn't know that either. When I asked it about the malware problem, it pointed me at #enworld, which was very nearly a useful solution. If that tag were put to use, anybody could find it using existing search engines.

For what it's worth, I'd love to have an official rally point in times of trouble. During previous problems, that Livejournal has actually been helpful finding out what's going on. This time around, there wasn't anything so I had to dig a little deeper. I found something that almost worked...

Here's my method: Roleplaying games are one part dinner party - you hang out with friends, eating, drinking, and generally just having a good time. The other part is like a murder mystery party - there's an interesting story going on, and you get to participate in it with your buddies.

I was just updating character sheets using the builder and noticed that Sneak Attack now says "once per turn". It surprised me enough to go grab the PHB to make sure that it did, indeed, say "once per round" at printing time. When did that change happen?

My favourite part of the whole process happened while we were out buying decorations. I was looking at lights for the tree (confession time: I was min/maxing for lights/dollar) when she tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Look, a gazebo!" There may have been some Snoopy-like happy dances...
