    D&D 5E (2014) Spell-like Abilities in 5e

I think you need the components. They're just spells now.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is silence pointless?

I don't think the Area of Effect of the Silence spell is stopped by physical objects anyways. I think it would already extend to the other side of the wall.

D&D 5E (2014) How does the Monk perform? (and revisiting monk spells)

Play a wizard. Infinite AC! Because magic! :p No seriously, grab Bladesinger and the Shield spell. Go wild.

    D&D 5E (2014) NPC classes/levels

You can also create leveled NPCs as villains. More complicated, but gives the DM a larger toolset for capabilities.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is silence pointless?

I think 120 feet is far enough that nobody will hear you. Background noises like breathing, wind and walking should cover it up.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is silence pointless?

It's kinda hard to pull that off as a ritual. Possible, but requires extra prep. It's a multiple use spell.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is silence pointless?

You're asking if the spell is pointless as a ritual, right? Since you can cast it as a ritual from 120 back from the actual area you need to be sneaking around in, you can set up a guaranteed silent area, where the party members won't need to be sneaky to be sneaky. For example, cast Silence as...

    What 5e got wrong

Stat generation is both politics and religion. And more importantly, it's an internet argument! FLAMEWAR!

    DM Advice

Skip the feats. Optional rules are for people who know what they're doing. Besides, I hear the game runs fine without them.

    D&D 5E (2014) Poison effects

I think Sage Advice has it as one shot wonders, but I don't remember where I saw that.

D&D 5E (2014) Teleportation circles costs *how* much?!

Weeeeeel... They can almost certainly be exploded with extreme prejudice, and as potential security risks, explosive wards seem like a pretty good idea to prevent their use by unsavory parties.

D&D 5E (2014) Teleportation circles costs *how* much?!

Unless nobody wants their services, particularly for the price they charge for said services. THE MARKET FINDS A WAY! :p

D&D 5E (2014) Would you play or run a game if the party's members are not the protagonists?

Eh, I'll play or run anything that isn't FATAL at least once.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeon Master's Guild: The Long Term

I actually think the division between the SRD and the DMsG is what makes the DMsG an intentionally poor choice for people planning to work on a larger scale. The DMsG is intended to pull creators out of the community by giving them a little bit of a hand up, and the SRD exists so that those...

D&D 5E (2014) Teleportation circles costs *how* much?!

I think Magician was literally based on a DnD campaign. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_E._Feist
