    D&D 5E (2014) Blees Still Broken/OP?

Ahhh. It's almost like people play this game in different ways.

    D&D 5E (2014) Blees Still Broken/OP?

"Blees: A spell so good you don't even need to cast it!" See, now that would be broken. :D

    D&D 5E (2014) Fixing the Champion

Yeah, but then they would have to think of a new feature for every fighter subclass. Clearly, that's by far too much work. :p

    D&D 5E (2014) Class Advice

Play a wizard illusionist. Who is a gnome. Fail to do anything useful, and keep using your illusion spells to 'delight and amaze' instead of, you know, helping. When the party inevitably kills this character, switch to a halfing barbarian, and ride into battle on a dog.

    D&D 5E (2014) Adventures - Levels and page count

"You fight a duck. Gain a level! The party will need to put on their snowboots. When they do, they gain a level! If any member of the party farts IRl, the party gains a magic sword and 10 levels!"

    D&D 5E (2014) upgrading a green hag

One of the things Hags are famous for in fairy tales is super weird living magical objects. Broomsticks, houses with chicken legs, animated rope. I think it's time to break out the rug of smothering for a welcome mat.

D&D 5E (2014) accounting for NPC allies when determining encounter difficulty

You could just count it as an advantage, and bump the encounter difficulty down by one.

D&D 5E (2014) Letting the enemy have even a single attack is the result of a strategic failure.

It's a matter of resources. HP is resource the party brings for the express purpose of sacrificing it-the very reason it exists is so that characters can get hit, but somehow not die. However, given the failure state that comes from using up all of said HP, other resources, particularly cheap...

    D&D 5E (2014) Altitude and range

Movement between attacks is legal! For everyone! Shot on The Run, how I love you so!

D&D 5E (2014) How Does A Fighter Deal With Falling In Battle?

You may need to rethink your tactics. The Fighter is good in many different combat situations, but Barbarians are the tanks. If the damage coming your way is getting too hot to handle, consider dropping your greatsword and grabbing your shield, or even just dodging. Remember, if the enemy is...

    D&D 5E (2014) Fixing the Champion

The best way to buff Champion is to ban the Expertise mechanic.

    D&D 5E (2014) Interrupting spellcasting

Speed Factor initiative provides a somewhat brutal form of it. Since casting spells makes a character go later in the initiative order, it's possible to drop them before they can cast. Of course, that's really, really lenient, all things considered. For people who do use Speed Factor, requiring...

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want your DM to fudge?

Fudging isn't fudging until you realize you should have brought your brown pants.

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want your DM to fudge?

Why is there no 'I don't care' option? As long as the game is good, it hardly matters what the DM is doing with the dice.

    D&D 5E (2014) DM's Guild: The Advice You Didn't Ask For

As long as there's a rating system, low quality stuff should sink to the bottom fairly quickly. So worrying about it probably isn't in anyone's best interest. That's what we have freelance reviewers for. I'm more on edge for seeing how they're going to handle copy/paste content, myself.

    D&D 5E (2014) Are solo monsters weaker in 5e?

Woah. No wonder its so hard to get high hit point mounts. That kind of mobility is an insane advantage.

D&D 5E (2014) WOTC Pregen Characters' Items Overpowered?

Are you sure that's the weapons attack bonus, and not the characters precalculated attack bonus? If the number is the same as the STR or DEX modifier - Proficiency bonus, it's probably just the characters stats.

    D&D 5E (2014) Are solo monsters weaker in 5e?

Hang on. If the mount is Dashing, it takes some kind of action (normal, bonus, reaction, object interaction) and therefore a turn (independent mounts). Otherwise, the Wizard would need to take the Dash action for the mount (controlled mounts). In the first case, the Tarrasque would have 2...

    D&D 5E (2014) Are solo monsters weaker in 5e?

Huh. Step 11 of designing a monster... Ok that's in the book. Well, the DMG, not the Monster Manual. You could have also gone with 'Improvising Damage' on pg 249 DMG, which could have easily given you 10d10 damage for having a house chucked at character, because making stuff up is RAW in 5E.

What's a good plot reason to grant the players psionic powers?

Brain surgery! Intellect Devourer teleports its way into PC's head, stays there without the parties knowledge. Psychic contact from someone who already had psionic powers. Maybe they had to do a really hard math problem?
