Pitch me your ulitmate D&D movie

Soul Of The Dragon Well, would a comic proposal do? A few years ago, I got word that Kenzer & Co., the comic-book company that produces "KNIGHTS OF THE DINNER TABLE" and other comics had landed the Dungeons & Dragons license for producing comics. Being a D&D nut all my life, I decided to try...

The problem of keeping magic items scarce...

Haven't read the whole thread .... If Magic Items are so rare, then a lot of people will want to keep their magic items safe. The best way to do that is to have Drawmij's Instant Summons cast on them. If the items are lost, stolen or looted, a person (or their survivors) can "say the magic...

Planar adventures besides Planescape & EttDWP?

I really liked "Iron Satyr" from Dungeon 108. Synopsis: A succubus and hobgoblin cleric work to restore a demon that was turned to stone. Level: 11

    1 on 1 adventures

I've been thinking a lot about 1-on-1 adventures lately. My primary bit of advice: Make "Use Magic Device" an all-class, untrained skill. Why do this? Because if you give your PCs the proper magic items, they don't need a whole party to support them. (Just be sure to stress to them how important...

    Storing D&D Dungeon Tiles?

Take an old boxed set, dump out all the pamphlets and ta-daa an instant Dungeon Tile carry case that's thematically appropriate! Edit: I see Glyfair has pretty much the same idea

    Weapon Illustrations in RPG Books

I have this one 3e third-party weapon book that tackles a wide variety of real-life oddball weapons. The book in itself is pretty good. But what I hate about it are the weapon illustrations don't provide you with a scale. That makes it really hard to figure out what they look like. Additionally...

    Favorite PHB Iconic

Nebin, man! He's got the cool goggles. And he looked great in Lockwood's illustration for Tome & Blood

How would you explain this for a campaign setting?

The place would be teeming with fungi (plus oozes, slimes and whatnot) that are devouring the now-dead plant life.

How important is stat accuracy to you?

Skill points and Hit Points? No big deal. Attack bonuses, Damage ranges, Feats and AC? Big deal. I also think all that stuff should be combined to make the character concept make sense. Unless it's an all-fighting NPC, I expect to see a few feats and skill points going to mundane things like...

    20th level with 20 classes

Good saves and a wide diversity of low-level powers I bet! And as they said on the RPG.net board, imagine coming to the table with that: "I'm Ralph, a Gnome Wizard/Sorcerer/Wu Jen/Shugenja/Scout/Spellthief/Artificer/Dread Necromancer/Warmage/Warlock/Rogue/Bard/Cleric/Druid/Spirit...

    20th level with 20 classes

Over at RPG.net, posters to this thread are trying to build a 20th-level character with 20 different classes. A great idea and quite funny. The question is, can you come up with your own 20/20 build?

How to revitalize an area for gaming? (Specifically Baltimore)

I live in York, Pa., just up 83 from you Baltimorians. I've attended a few RPGA events here and found that a lot of the participants were from Maryland. So maybe that's your answer: Host a couple of RPGA events and then recruit from that pool.

How long is the typical tabletop session?

4 hours. Game starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. Why so early? Three of us have to get up for work around 4:30 a.m. And just in case you were wondering about the frequency: We play on the first and third Tuesday of the month.

    "Planar Bazaar" campaign

Based on your reccommendations, I'll probably stick elves back into the mix. I picked this race in particular because I know one player has been wailing that he hasn't been able to play an elf yet. I've also determined that their debtor will be a Mercane, a dimension-hopping magic dealer that...

    "Planar Bazaar" campaign

In the next few weeks its expected that the campaign I'm playing in will end (prematurely) because the DM's is moving away. I've volunteered to be DM next. My thought is to really try to shake things up for the players, and I'm thinking of assembling a game that revolves around a lot of...

Which ENWorlder Would You Want to Meet?

MerricB because I want to find out if he says "Cheers!" every time he leaves the room. Evil Halfling because we seriously need to talk about him soiling the reputation of all us other Halflings.

What Would You Get From This Pile?

Wow! I mean w-o-w! You need to buy a buttload of that stuff, zip across the border (figuratively), set up a bank account, set up a new eBay account and sell it. You could make a small fortune on that stuff!

Character Names - How Do You Come Up With Yours?

I like to get mine from the obituary columns and estate listings. Many people dying today have very different sounding names than those people in our generation. I don't use exact names, but mix and match as needed. Here are some names I grabbed just the other day: Russel E. Bates, Josephine...

    Favourite intelligent plant

A while back, I proposed a Dungeon adventure that highlighted Myconids, so I voted for them. I love those little suckers. They're so darn cute, and perfect, non-threatening Underdark allies for any PC. Needless to say, I voted for them. (Paizo wasn't interested, gosh darn it.)
