Sad but true. I know a lot of early adolescent/teenage gamers who could care less what the RPG industry has to offer because the industry is totally out of touch with what they want. These kids are just happy playing thier homebrew Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, //.HACK RPGs and would continue...

Yes. Like its predecessors, 3E is not a generic fantasy game and it does dictate a certain style of play. One that I enjoy if I might add.

I like them. But then again, I like the character creation guidelines of the RPGA campaigns and find them admirable for what they set out to do.

I am a fan of books that really enhance D&D/d20's melee game (like Book of Iron Might, Iron Heroes, Tome of the Nine Swords). I was wondering if there are (besides the ones aforementioned) any other books that I should check out.

Yeah. Dispel Magic and Mord's Disjunction were pretty harmless - it's the buffs, if they are up, that makes thier use distatseful.

In 2E, being a two weapon fighting specialist wasn't so bad in comparsion to being a throwing dart grand master. Sheesh, that was crazy. I think being a thri-kreen or a drow made it worse.

Ravenloft is fun but compromising the D&D end of things is not the answer at all. Remember that and you should be fine.

No. AEG stopped producing Rokugan d20 material a while back. I like it enough to recommend getting the Rokugan book. As for oriental games, it depends on what kind of asian fantasy you want. As for other roleplaying games, if you want japanese fantasy, I would recommend Legend of the Five...

A horror themed AP would rock. One focused on either dragons or the underdark would also be good. For module tie-ins, either the Lost City or Keep on the Borderlands would be fantastic.
