Eberron, FR, new settings... and Spelljammer. I've always liked the idea behind SJ: space fantasy of the fantastic sort, with flying ships and zero-gee dryads living in orbital forests, and planet-smashing Artifacts of Dark Power, and so on. The execution of SJ was incredibly flawed, however...

You know, that sounds a lot like the Druid from Diablo II, where he had talent trees for shapeshifting, elemental magic (some fire stuff and weather magic) and summoning (animals, yes, but also animated creepers and such). And that sounds excellent to me. :)

Sounds like a good idea to me, as well. Not sure about whether the gods should be statted out... if they're supposed to be "optional end-bosses", WotC is probably going to focus more on the archdevils, demon princes and exarchs in game-mechanical terms.

I dislike many things in 3.5 D&D, but I don't dislike the game, quite the opposite. And I expect that I will come to dislike many things about 4e, but I doubt that will make me dislike that edition, either.

I, for one, downloaded the rules purely out of curiosity, wishing to see what's in there. I highly doubt I will purchase the final rules; most likely, I'm going to 4e, but if not, I'll stick with 3.5, because my group has the books for that and an existing campaign.

I've followed the arguments and discussions about the new skill challenge system (or what we know of it) on this forum, and I'm curious about the player-DM spread of the opinions. Are the players for this, and DMs against; or vice versa; or is it more or less balanced?
