    D&D 5E (2014) Bladesinger/arcane trickster

This is generally my feeling. In terms of power a multiclassed BS is not going to be as good, I don't think there is any class you can take that adds more than another Wizard level. However, this is a roleplaying game and a BS/AT brings a lot to the table in terms of flexibility and cool role...

    D&D 5E (2014) Bladesinger/arcane trickster

I am playing a low level BS/Rogue now. I have not got into AT yet. A couple points. You don't really need disengage and you certainly should not waste a feat on mobile. You are pretty difficult to hit in melee, if you have bladesong up just take the opportunity attack and have the enemy...

D&D 5E (2014) Ranger with spear, shield and polearm master feat

It would be a gloom stalker. The Somatic components are a concern, but most of the good Ranger combat spells are Verbal only so I think it is doable.

D&D 5E (2014) Ranger with spear, shield and polearm master feat

Usually you cast HM in round 1, so in that round it does suck the extra attack, but if you manage to keep it up through several battles it does and the extra 1d6 with every extra attack would seem to be really good.

D&D 5E (2014) Ranger with spear, shield and polearm master feat

I am starting a new game with a V human Ranger S16, D14, C14, I10, W13, Ch12 Thinking about getting polearm master and using a spear and a shield. Spear damage one-handed is not great, but I could get a 17 AC with a chain shirt. and at 2nd level I could pick up dueling to get +2 damage on both...

D&D 5E (2014) artificer initiate, fey touched and shadow touched vs magic initiate and spell slots

How can you SA with Int instead of Dex? I must have missed that, but I never played that combo so maybe I don't know. For mutliclass low levvel AT AI could be good to get absorb elements, not as useful if you are going to go to 5th level and especially not as useful if you go to 7th level in...

    D&D 5E (2014) The Healing Spirit Nerf=Complete Overkill

I believe you are only allowed 1 long rest per 24 hours, so you would have to essentially skip an entire day to trade a short rest for a long rest. In most campaigns there are going to be ramifications to that. You might expect to hide out in the pirates bedroom for an hour, but you are not...

    D&D 5E (2014) The Healing Spirit Nerf=Complete Overkill

Ok maybe I am missing something here, but it takes your group 2 hours to roll initiative? If it is minutes, what are they doing for the first 8 minutes, 50 seconds. two 2nd-leve PCs vs two zombies would probably take about 10 minutes on average on my table. It might take less than 3 minutes...

D&D 5E (2014) artificer initiate, fey touched and shadow touched vs magic initiate and spell slots

All valid points, although they vary with playstyle. Comparing inflict wounds to caustic brew - inflict wounds requires a hit roll, which means in general it will land less than caustic brew, obviously that depends on the enemy, his AC, saves, stats, your condition and his condition. If it was...

D&D 5E (2014) No Monsters Immune to Stun?

I don't get the logic on why constructs should not be stunned. It seems to me this is nothing but a purposeful attempt to nerf the monk, whether it is a little bit or a lot it is simply changing the rules for no real purpose that I can see. That said, 5E encourages changing the rules, so if...

D&D 5E (2014) artificer initiate, fey touched and shadow touched vs magic initiate and spell slots

I am not a huge fan of inflict wounds. It is about 16-17 points of damage on average with a hit roll. At low levels that is really good, albeit for use of a very valuable once-a-day slot. At higher levels it is not enough to be worthwhile. It is the kind of spell I would not bother preparing...

    D&D General $299 D&D Anniversary Sapphire Dice

How? Because you can't afford them, or don't think it is wise to purchase so people who can and do are therefore being "swindled"? No one is forcing anyone to buy them, but I will bet there are a few people who will buy them and many of those people will never even roll them. You know a...

A bit high for my tastes .... now if instead of aluminum dice they actually cut six grown saphires into Dice .... that I would buy for $299

    D&D 5E (2014) The Healing Spirit Nerf=Complete Overkill

IMO it may be more powerful than other healing spells but it is not op compared to other spells in general. Most healing spells are a waste to start with. The only healing spell people commonly take at my table is healing word. For in-combat healing it uses a bonus action, making it better...

D&D 5E (2014) No Monsters Immune to Stun?

Does she. I have not read her stat block, but most of them say if XXX fails a saving throw XXXr can "choose" to pass instead. Why would she choose to succeed on a save that is not going to have any affect?

D&D 5E (2014) No Monsters Immune to Stun?

I don't see why that should be houseruled and it really nerfs monks. It should be very rare to find an enemy immune to stun. If it is not then Monk should be retooled. Keep in mind a monk needs to spend a ki point for it, so he is drawing on some spiritual power to stun his enemy, so no...

D&D 5E (2014) Players Killing Players for stupid reason

I have never had players turn on each other in game. One time though I had an NPC henchman turn on a charmed PC and that generated a lot of bad blood between me (DM) and the player. The situation is the player got hit with a charm or mind control of some sort and attacked an allied Paladin...
