What Non-D20 Products are you looking forward to?

I'm looking forward to Stranger Things. http://www.onesevendesign.com/strangerthings/index.html Looks nifty. And the tag-line at the web site is "Its Hellboy meets Lankhmar with a touch of Gangs of New York." Can't beat that with a stick.

    Elfs

Here's all I could turn up with a fast google search with elfs and rpg.net, a review: http://www.rpg.net/news+reviews/reviews/rev_7109.html Hope its handy.

*chuckles* He said DUMPED. teehee. That's the spirit!

    Elfs

I played it ages ago, so please forgive my lack of recall. This is the game's web-site: http://www.adept-press.com/elfs/ I don't know what to tell ya. You have to choose Oral, Anal or Genital for Personality Stage. What more can I say, man? The one-shot I played in ended with my character...

I've played it. It is potty-mouthed fun.

    Shadow of Yesterday

http://www.anvilwerks.com/tsoy/ Its a neat game with a great experience system, taking my favorite parts from several games: feats from d20, spiritual attributes from Riddle of Steel and...something from...sometimes else. :uhoh: The setting is light to some but to me, I dig having lots of...

    Burning Wheel

When I start up my Midnight game again in order to finish a long campaign I had running, I will most certainly use Burning Wheel as the system. It almost feels MADE for Midnight.

do you play any non-d20 games? If so, what?

There is another setting among the free downloads to the game, a brutal post-apocolyptic setting called Under a Serpent Sun. Other setting add-ons will be out... Monster Burner is the key book for taking the game and making up your own settings and lifepaths with it. I'm interested in trying...

do you play any non-d20 games? If so, what?

Regarding Burning Wheel: There is no setting in the sense of a map and a creation myth and named NPC's. However, there is an intensely implied world in the mechanics and character creation of the game. I'm a GM who enjoys collaborative world creation with my players, so it is all of the...

    Burning Wheel

Maybe you are talking about the character generation system. It is a lifepath system but the experience system is nothing at all like Warhammer. I think you got an incorrect notion from the lifepath tables.

    Burning Wheel

Beliefs were in the classic edition too. They're the heart and soul of the system, without a doubt.

    Burning Wheel

I have found the revision to be a head and shoulders above the classic edition. It ain't for everyoen and here on ENworld, we're in the bosom of d20-ville, so if it ain't your cup of tea, I hear ya and we can leave it at that.

    Burning Wheel

I have been running a series of Burning Wheel one-shots in preperation for the campaign I am set to run, which begins tomorrow. Burning Wheel is a fantastic fantasy RPG with the best versions of Tolkien-inspired Elves, Dwarves and Orcs that I have ever seen. The humans have a gritty George...

Cool. What system are you using? How many players?

Alternate Game System for the Forgotten Relams

I would love to run a game set in Waterdeep in which the players are bodyguards to the masked members of the council of Lords using the Riddle of Steel system. Meetings in alleys, rooftop chases, gritty sword-fights in alleys. Woo-hoo. Burning Wheel would be a great fit, particularly for an...

Anyone picked up Midnight Fury of Shadows

I would love to but I'm giving away my copies to my parents and my buddy who first urged me to DM when I was 13. They're all spoken for. Sorry.

You are welcome. Seeing how my real name is Judd Karlman, I certainly have ulterior motivations for seeing this thread thrive and reading its participants.
