    How Do Your Villains Escape?

    Thats always a good bet if they don't have "Moon Powder" or some other meens of teleporting away. fly and d-door are good too. some of my pc's got pretty good at foiling moon powder as an escape tactic by using called shots. invisibility is a good escape if the party isn't ready for it.

    why? in a game as combat driven as D&D or as skill driven as D&D why would you care if your players wanted to take rogue to get a decient ammount of class skills and the skill points to max said skills at level 1? unless they all continue to advance as rogues thier class skill list willl change...

    this is what we do in my game. toughness can only be taken once but adds 1 hp per level. and it is retroactive so most people don't take it until 3rd level.

    you could also look at the swashbuckler class. there is no reason why your DM shouldn't let you wield a longsword in either class you would simply be a varient. you can still duel with a longsword. but only if you were the party who was picking the weapons.

    PrC: Arcane Valet (extended Pirate edition)

    quick sobor is from the spells and spellcraft book. [it is refered to as sobor up in the pocket grimore.] its a cantrip or level 1 spell depending on the list it comes off of, that removes the effects of overindulgement of alchol and should be on the list for any proper gentlemans valet.
