    D&D 5E (2014) What Races for the 5E PHB

It's also kinda strange how well the Pixie is doing. Never really thought of it as a race that scratched a particular itch but apparently it scratched someone's itch damn well.

    D&D 5E (2014) What Races for the 5E PHB

More people want a Catfolk race than people that want a Dragonborn, Tiefling, or Eladrin race. O_o?

Pathfinder Review: Pirates of the Inner Sea

Frustrating that once again the Magic User gets the most out of a splatbook that has nothing to do with Magic Users.

    PHB Length and Contents

I want it to be about the size of the 4Essentials Heroes of ... books. Let's do away with the large clunky books altogether. This gives us more room at the table, let's WotC provide us with more digest-sized books, and gives more design space over to online supplements. It would be a very big...

Are adventures/modules more important than system?

They are important because they are one of the big things that contribute to a good first impression of an edition. If the first adventure out is a railroady, grindy piece of trash a lot of people are going to perceive the edition it represents as such. The fact that KOTS failed so hard is one...

    New rule of 3 . Feb 21.

I'm one of the few people who enjoys a good game of 4E but doesn't seem to habitually light tables on fire when confronted with a game of 3.5. I went through the WotC bashing 3.5 thing and it wasn't pleasant and seeing them do a repeat of that to 4E is even less so.

    D&D 5E (2014) What Races for the 5E PHB

Human Tiefling Dwarf Halfling Elf (As in Eladrin/Elf. Not separate races.) Dragonborn Gnome Half-Orc Yeah I'd take out the Half Elf from the PHB1. It just ends up too much of the other "I don't quite fit in anywhere" races thunder.

    New rule of 3 . Feb 21.

So what the Warden, Paladin, Swordmage, and Battlemind didn't exist in 4E now or what? They all had their unique defender mechanics that made them distinct and still good. Or is this the part of 5E transition where we can't say 4E had nice things at all?

Tiefling and half-orc should not be in the PHB

I think your problem is that you tell your players "NO!!!!" when you should be telling them "Yes but..."

    D&D 3.x 5e Forgotten Realms - should it be closer to 3e or 4e?

It should be retired for a while, like Magic is doing with Dominaria. Returning to the same place over and over just makes the place become stale.

Tiefling and half-orc should not be in the PHB

5E core should copy Skyrim race choices. So: Dragonborn, Drow, High Elf, Wood Elf, Lizardmen, Humans, Half-Elves, Catfolk.

    Who gets what?...Class Abilities

I really disagree with your take on the Barbarian. 4E did a really good job of making a solid difference between the Fighter and Barbarian. If you want to play a Fighter who gets really angry , then just play a fighter who gets really angry. Barbarians should be the dudes who channel the nature...

What is the feel of D&D anyway?

Eternal warfare between hostile groups of similar people all at the behest of greedy corporations.

Tiefling and half-orc should not be in the PHB

I disagree. I like both in the core book. They provide a necessary core set diversion from the generics like Elves and Dwarves.

Should Organized Play Influence The Rules?

I think organized play is where WotC can make the most money off of D&D. And if it helps avoid D&D being shelved I'm all for it getting the majority of attention. Let home gets be house ruled if people don't like it. The main thing the hobby should be focusing on is making WotC money right now...

    Retraining?

In fantasy isn't Conan the prime example of someone who uses his retraining options on a rather constant basis?

    Morale

I believe morale should be a rule, at least as an option.

Kits, Paragon Paths, Prestige Classes, and Themes; Oh My!

I'd rather have archetypes from Pathfinder or barring those themes from 4E. Prestige and paragon classes were a horrible idea.

What would you rather see: core rulebook or traditional trilogy?

I'd rather it just be all digital. Produce books if you have to but give us the option of having it all on our laptop! Books take up too much space at the table that could be used for beer, pretzels, and other such things!

    Measurements for ranges and grids

Yeah I hope when we use the new edition's combat grid rules that we can use meters/yards instead of feet.
