Most Kickstarter RPGs used to deliver PDF copies via Drivethru and this is moving to individual company accounts so it is hard to keep track of stuff. I have moved to download everything into personal folders with a NAS backup.

It does not matter. Amazon admitted that there is still backdoor DRM because the book is locked to your kindle. When you could download the book, a non-DRM copy could be read anywhere. No longer.

Yep. In the early days, libraries could get perpetual licenses. Now, the big vendors only give them subscriptions that include weekly or monthly usage counts. This allows them to enforce scarcity on non-scarce resource.

It is much cheaper to have the printer bulk ship the copies to USPS than ship to a warehouse and then re-ship from that location. Of course, it depends on your logistics. If you have the mailing list already, then yes. I ship directly from the printer every time with the remainder going to the warehouse.

I'll drop it although I think it is linked to people's perception of the value of a digital book. I agree that higher prices lead to a more equitable pay for creators. I do not mind the higher prices when I believe that the creators are doing better.
