A lava pool or stream is an environmental hazard much like a trap. I'd even say that the trap could be "disarmed or destroyed" with cold damage. Here's an interesting question: would you give your players xp for overcoming lava?

With the Defensive reroll and feats like Lost in the Crowd, I think that halflings have the potential to be really tough Fighters. I'm building a halfling that really focuses on wading in against a ton of enemies and gets as many OAs as possible. I think it's going to be fun.
