    D&D 5E (2014) How To D&D (DMing)

I thought it was Keep It Stupid Simple. I would add. A: Your players can't read your mind so you can change things to steal their ideas mid-game. and B: Your players can't read your mind so they will miss things that you think are obvious. You may need to cut them a break.

    D&D 5E (2014) Character Advancement versus Pathfinder

If you want a rogue play 5e. If you want ridiculously powerful casters play Pathfinder. As a DM you will have an easier time with 5e. Pathfinder is a lot more work as a DM unless you create excellent heuristics for short cutting the onerous ruleset.

    Making Race Matter

I would rather there be fewer mechanical differences between the races.

How important to you is maxing your primary stat?

20 doesn't feel special anymore. It's kind of boring. There is no where else to go. You are as good as you will ever be. Yet you still only have a 10% edge (on a d20) over someone with a 16. You should be great but you still kinda suck.

    D&D 5E (2014) Can a Critical Hit miss?

@ Mistwell & Shiroiken this would be true if the PC were capable of seeing the enemies and the enemies were firing at characters that they could see. (Not sure how blindsense works) If I read the OP correctly the player asked where the shot came from. Which could be percieved by the PC while...

    D&D 5E (2014) Can a Critical Hit miss?

No hit. I say this because if you remove the foliage and darkness the character was simply attacking an empty square. You could say, your bolt flies true to the point where the attack came from, if there was anyone there surely they must have been hit. You could even let them roll damage but now...

Archdevil Moloch (Mordenkainen's tome of foes preview from Dragon+)

I can't speak to the countering of symbol or other innate spellcasting but counterspell will not work on his teleport. Moloch teleports magically (as if there was another way, perhaps he's making a quantum leap) he does not cast teleport.

"Stream of Many Eyes" -- WotC To Announce New Storyline In June

I loved that game. I look foreward to this stream. Beholders are one of my favorite monsters. They make me think of Megadeth and Architecture of Aggression.

6-8 Encounters a long rest is, actually, a pretty problematic idea.

Problematic..... In answer to number one: This doesn't have anything to do with 6-8 encounters per day. It seems to be about lack of flavorful options outside of limited resource options. Sometimes I (we) use shorthand to describe things. It doesn't always work out. In answer to number two...

Harassment Policies: New Allegations Show More Work To Be Done

Since I do not know either party involved or the circumstances, I will not judge. As for the policy, yeah that is a good one. If I dress as the Highlander I expect too keep my head. If I dress as Black Widow I expect you to keep your hands to yourself.

Invisibility /stealth / hide with a rigid DM what can i do instead?

Ask your DM for help. Let the DM know that you want the character to be stealthy because that was how you built the character. Pick the DMs brain and find out his philosophy on stealth and adjust accordingly.
