Will D&D make strength matter again?

Add "Power Armor". Add "Chainswords". Take D&D to the 40th century!

Will D&D make strength matter again?

A lot, actually. Mostly paladins and barbarians with shields. The 2H fighters do outnumber them, but not by an overwhelming amount. This is just in my local AL gaming groups (so about 30 or so players with several characters each over the last 5 years) - I'm not making any claims about...

Will D&D make strength matter again?

Meh, not in my experience. It's good, but not "too good". I have not seen Dex based melee characters outshine Str Based melee characters. Ranged? Yes. But that's more a problem with the benefits of the archery Archery Style + Sharpshooter combo.

Will D&D make strength matter again?

I don't think it is. I've never understood the fuss about it. I've seen no shortage of Str based characters when I play.

D&D 5E (2014) If you were to rename the Drow for a neutral setting, what would you name them? (thread 3/3)

Inverse Elves Negaverse Elves Palette Swapped Elves Anara (Absolutely not a racial allegory) Elves

In your most recent game, were human variants allowed?

Yes, but only one person played one. The fact that I give every character an extra feat at first level (and human variants get "+2 to two ability scores" instead of "+1 to two ability scores and feat") may have something to do with it.

D&D 5E (2014) Feats: Do they stifle creativity and reduce options?

Feats allow creative people to do interesting things. They also allow uncreative people to do the same old thing better. On the whole, I prefer feats.

    D&D 5E (2014) Hexblade Build

Funny enough, I'm playing a similar character through Curse of Strahd. I'd suggest taking Sentinel to go with Polearm Master. For my character it was my 4th level feat, with Charisma ASI's at lvl 8 and 12 and Improved Pact Weapon invocation in the meantime to make up for it.
