OT1H, as strong as feats are in 5e, I'd find a race being granted one at 1st level worrisome. OTOH, +1 to 6 stats instead of to 2 stats roughly translates to 2 feats (based on the latter choices of stat increase or feat while leveling). Still, if given the option, I'd probably take the feat...
