D&D 5E (2014) Halfling rogue sniping from the the second rank

All readied actions occur after their trigger now. BR p.72. I was merely pointing out that it's not quite the 'keystone cops' situation someone mentioned upthread, where the NPC or PC getting nailed by the halfling is unable to respond unless it's possible to reposition such as to negate the...

D&D 5E (2014) Empowered Evocation plus Magic Missile?

My 'gut' reading is the last one you added (which doesn't quote here, but essentially 'add mod once PER SPELL, not once per die rolled or once per target'). However, you bring up a good point w/ comparing it to other level 10 school abilities.

Sorry if I missed a reply on this, but do Beastmaster Ranger's companions level up at all, or do they gain access to more powerful ones at higher levels or anything?

D&D 5E (2014) Halfling rogue sniping from the the second rank

Did no one use sniping in previous editions? Because that's all this is, with the slight change of sniping from behind an ally. I don't get all the kerfuffle. Counter to sniping from cover is easy - 'I ready an action to shoot the little guy in the face when he pops out to snipe at me'. Done.

    D&D 5E (2014) Finally

I guess with the Hunter abilities it's really just breaking it out into different components (w/ the damaging component being broader, & thus less subject to the concern you mention). Hoping the Beastmaster comes out better (to my play preference, that is) than the alpha version, but that's a...

    D&D 5E (2014) Finally

Holy crap, bladelock/rogue (assassin) multiclass. 'I THOUGHT YOU SEARCHED HIM FOR WEAPONS!' 'We did, your lordship! There wasn't so much as a dagger on him!' 'Then WHY is our king's HEAD lying at my FEET?!' :)

    D&D 5E (2014) Finally

I know in alpha the CR for CotM wild shaping was limited to 1/3 of the druid's level (minimum 1) - which to me still seems like a scouting shape, not a battle shape. Seemed pretty weak IMO considering that you have to sacrifice spell casting AND whatever benefits Circle of the Earth would've...

    D&D 5E (2014) Finally

Oh dear. That must be the worst version of Favored Enemy in any edition of D&D. 'Congratulations. You are very good at Investigating or tracking your enemies... &, you know, remembering important historical dates about them & the names of the gods they'll scream out when they attack you.'

Sounds much more reasonable than the alpha write-up, whew.

Yeah, I knew it would explode into a frenzy like a swarm of hungry piranhas - more info, More Info, MORE INFO! :p

OH, what is the limit on the wild shape ability of Circle of the Moon druids? Does Bardic Inspiration grant an inspiration die to 1 ally/use, or the whole party?

    D&D 5E (2014) Finally

That Entropic Ward - does that have any sort of limit (per short rest, per long rest), or just - EVERY attack for which you have a reaction available to use it? Cuz... that would seem kinda broken to me, yeah?

If questions are fielded... Do warlock spell slots refresh every LONG rest, or every SHORT rest? [Edit: Bah, ninjaed by a warlock competitor. Fingers drawn at 120 paces!]

I see only a cover, not proof that you have the entire book. Clearly scans of every page are required to support this claim. *nods sagely* ;)

D&D 5E (2014) Wizard with 20 CON and the Durable feat

I would take your third option and go to town on feats that give +1 along with another minor bonus - woo-hoo, free stuff!

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlock build help

Whoa, totally missed that! Well, that's the build fubared for any sort of organized play (which wasn't the intent for the character, but would've been nice to have as a possibility). Will have to point this out to my DM if we do convert to 5e & get his ruling. :(

    D&D 5E (2014) Atheism/Agnosticism in 5e?

Aaaaand we've gone right into the 'atheism is PROPERLY defined thusly, & agnosticism in this manner' debate I specifically suggested we avoid in my OP. I've mentioned in the thread that I was previously unaware of the word 'alatrism'. I do find it more accurately conveys what I was after...

    D&D 5E (2014) Atheism/Agnosticism in 5e?

Hmm, hadn't heard of that before. Perhaps something like: 'Clearly that these beings mete out such harsh punishment for refusing to bow to them betrays them as the petty tyrants they are. I bend my knee to no one so undeserving of my fealty.' (And liking the word 'alatrism'.)
