D&D General How much do you care about rule change specifics?

I am not sure what you mean by RAW for multiclassing. Like 2014 multiclassing was also RAW cause that just means rules as written. Like there is no fundamental change in the nature of multiclassing between 2014 and 2024. Also Rune Knight is not even a 2024 option it’s a 2014 one. The number of...

Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

Yes they will release adventures and supplements, like the upcoming Eberron Book, and the FR books. Those will add to the game, but they are in nature no different than stuff that has come in the past. Yet some people try and make it sound like completely alien stuff to the game like loot boxes...

Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

Also seriously what would suddenly change? The new Corebooks are out nothing will change that, and we know they are doing well in sales. So what do you guys seriously think will happen?

Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

I kind of hated overly complex alterations to rules from the base common to lots of 2e settings. Like requiring a percentage roll every time the PCs did something morally dubious kind of just seemed like annoying busywork.

Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

And why do you think D&D is dead when it’s well selling core books are now out?

Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

That would be your opinion, the new version was far more interesting to me than the old version and for sure had more flavour.

Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

No sudden changes are going to come to D&D. The three new main core books are out now, and they are not going to be replaced anytime soon. Supplements and Adventures are what are going to follow for the foreseeable future.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

The news today is better, but overall still pretty awful. The China Tariffs and blanket 10% are still going to make things harder for everything.

D&D General Transgender Drow are Canon in Forgotten Realms! Woo!

Well that, and because their heavy gender roles makes it so that they would not approve of any trying to say they are bucking the system.

D&D General Transgender Drow are Canon in Forgotten Realms! Woo!

This isn't new. Though in the past it was pretty clear that Drow leaders disliked any claiming to be trans.

WotC Chris Cao has left WotC

I was wrong about this, he has not been active there since January. There is another Chris C there who is unrelated and still employed there.

WotC WotC (Mistakenly) Issues DMCA Takedown Against Baldur's Gate-themed Stardew Valley Mod

This is what Nexus Mods said And that's what happened. The external agency flagged something they are within their rights to take down. But someone at Wizards thought that was not the right move and had it reversed. I am honestly surprised people are mad they decided not to take down...

Book of Many things was pretty great.

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

D&D Beyond does not require a subscription to access the books you pay for. Also I linked the thing that explicitly states they are the best selling books now.
