Hmm I actually tried to scan in a map-- it doesn't look half bad if its a big enough bitmap file. To get the right scale, I put down a square grid with 5' squares and carefully scales the bitmap until it matched. One prob, though....I'd have to go through and somehow cover up all the secret...

I've considered doing this as well- I almost gave the elves in my campaign a 200 year lifespan just so the players and I could relate to them a little better...and make the idea of an army of elves a little more believable.

From an evolutionary standpoint, I think it would be a disadvantage for a species to take decades to mature to a point where they could at least have some chance of protecting themselves physically. The idea of a 18-30 year old toddler doesn't sit well with me, since most of the predator species...

The more proficient you get with the program, the less problems you have of this nature. You can edit the included templates to get any counter size you want. If you learn how to use the "blow up" command, you can hack apart existing creature symbols and put them back together as new monsters...

Spiderclimb. Unless they can fly, they can't grapple him when he's on the ceiling. Nice, cheap low level spell. Throw in a blur or a shield to help deter those ranged touch attacks.

Agreed. Our solution: we rotate campaigns. Everyone takes their turn DMing. Even if a player sucks as a DM, they just have to be good enough to allow people to have fun and to recharge the DM juices for their next turn up to bat. Its pretty nice, because it also allows us to try out a variety...

Just posted a version with "boring" fonts for less formatting issues. The doc should be 16 pages in all....if it opens with more than that, some tweaking might be needed

A pdf is possible, yes...won't be able to get to that until after easter, tho. Also depends on how big the pdf file will be. It will be a smaller pdf file if i don't use any fancy fonts. Will work on it ;)

Yep. Just slip it into a glossy page protector and use dry erase. You can scribble in spell effects as well, and you can even keep track of rounds by crossing off the numbers from bottom to top.
