Groovy! Eden to do Army of Darkness RPG!!!

IF you have the D&D books and the D20 Modern book, couldn't you make your own AoD game?

    3.5 Ranger Combat Styles

The fact that rangers don't have heavy armor proficiency plus the steep armor-check penalties is enough to keep rangers out of that armor. Anyway, fighters get a ****load of feats. Throwing the ranger maybe two or three extra feats won't break anything.

    3.5 Ranger Combat Styles

re: the d8 hd----- when I heard that it was dropping to this in 3.5e, I balked. Then it started to grow on me as I realized that a ranger is more of a scout than a front-line fighter. If his BAB progression is better than a druid, then he's still a reasonably good fighter, right? Well then I...

Level advancement rate in 3rd- vs. real life

I just went to the site and read his Medal of Honor citation. Holy crap, this guy was nuts!!!! Just plain crazy. If I tried that while playing Battlefield 1942 I wouldn't last a 10th of a second. And even less in real life.

[3.5] The Sage and Tower Shields

I figured they would do that, and I'm glad as heck.:)

Sunless Citadel question: opening a can of wyrms..spoilers)

You have a point with the nature/nurture arguement, but forcing an alignment change in the dragon at this stage might be an uphill battle: it was held in captivity by kobolds, stolen by goblins (and who knows how they treated it), then the party pummeled it unconscious and brought it back to its...

Sunless Citadel question: opening a can of wyrms..spoilers)

You just answered your own questions for the most part, but I figure any high-level wizard with a vested interest in dragons might be interested. Its nice to study a live specimen rather than a dead one. Not disagreeing with you here, and this is exactly how I will handle it if it gets to this...

Yeah! Fields of Blood is finally coming out!

Tears of Joy Thank you GOD. July 2003 is a good month to be a D&D geek.

Sunless Citadel question: opening a can of wyrms..spoilers)

Thanks for all the advice, all. :) I can see how it will be fun, and I might let them try it, at least for a little while. Realistically speaking, though, I think no good will come of it, since the dragon is inherently evil and most of the party is good-aligned. Also, I figure it will try to...

Sunless Citadel question: opening a can of wyrms..spoilers)

Hmmm... Int of 10...didn't think of that one. I suppose Handle Animal skill is out...maybe Bluff or Diplomacy? I don't think friendship is possible anyway. It is a dragon, and it is evil...the PC is good. It will indeed breathe on them and try to escape by any means. Won't do much damage tho...

Sunless Citadel question: opening a can of wyrms..spoilers)

Ok, the party is pretty much done with the module and to make a long story short, Calcryx, the white dragon wyrmling is in its (newly repaired) cage and theirs for the taking. One of the characters, a wizard/ranger, has much interest in the little creature and wants to subdue it. His plans...

Whats the latest on the FR tv show??

Really, it had to be the budget. The show would have been an FX nightmare.

So they went and butchered the 3.5 ranger...

All I can think is there had to be an easier way to do it. We complained that rangers shouldn't be pidgeon-holed into 2-W fighters. Fine; I agree. So, WotC has added another "path" for a bow fighter. I don't think this really solves the problem either. Now we just have an extra pidgeon-hole to...

Can you hustle while Flying (overland scale)?

I thought a hustle was a kinda double-time jog, and run was an all-out sprint. If a flyer can "charge but not run", it sounds like they are capable of bursts of speed. Realistically, I would allow a flyer to double-time it with subdual damage, but from a rules stand point, I could see this...

Anyone see anything? Is it stuck in development, never to see the light of day?

The newest Iconic... Gimble the Gnomish Bard?

I thought about doing this too. I'd like to take the gnome physical description and culture, slap on all the halfling racial attributes and abilities, and toss the rest. I'd keep the gnome name. "halfling' is to Tolkein-y. I figure, why wouldn't a race of tinkerers favor a class with the most...

    [OT] Eastern Seaboard Snowstorm

I'm in lower CT, expecting 6-12 inches. They shut down the city of Bridgeport. I just called in to work, so now its me, my computer, and a cup of coffee. Aaahhhhhhh This is winter as I remember it when I was a kid. Reminds me of gradeschool, how you'd listen to the radio on a snowy morning...

Why are modules no longer popular

I gotta have modules and Dungeon Mag. I just don't have the time or the inclination to make all my adventures from scratch. And its too bad modules don't sell well, since there are so many d20 games out there that could use some. I'd like to see a short series of modules for D20 Modern...
