"Tabletop D&D Has Lost Its Way" Says Pathfinder Video Game Exec

Feargus really knows how to troll better than this! I can only give it an 84/100!

    C&Ds for Online D&D 5E Character Generators

Or that, like Games Workshop, they just don't care.

    C&Ds for Online D&D 5E Character Generators

This is self-destructive and stupid - and so shortly after riding such a big wave of good will. Whoever is responsible should be canned.

[Updated] Chris Sims & Jennifer Clarke Wilkes Let Go From WotC

Maybe there's an inherent limit to its popularity. More cynically, maybe every time the "industry" starts to really hit its stride, something comes along and knocks it over in a vain attempt to teach hobbyists to be customers.

D&D 5E (2014) The curious case of the double-dragon sorcerer

I think charting this one out would clearly show that single-bloodline dragonborn sorcerers gain less from their choice than mixed-bloodline dragonborn sorcerers. This makes one choice an optimal choice, which to me says the OP has a point.

D&D 5E (2014) Where is the Stat Block for the smaller elementals

"Mr." Gygax had atrocious spelling skills, browbeat editors, and seemed to actually enjoy infighting and flame wars. Malapropisms? He's even got George Bush beat there. He's not a diety. He was a p. cool dude though, and hell yeah he carved a pretty awesome legacy.

Warforged, Kender, Multiverses, & Errata - An Eclectic News Summary!

Everyone here would buy that. Not just that "that", either. Almost any "that" we could wishlist. That's the problem. Most everyone here is hardcore and will buy everything D&D-related because of the branding.

How's D&D Working Out For You? First official feedback survey looks at CLASSES and FEATS!

This survey looks like it's going to feed into and inform further surveys. Very "low level" questions. I wish it didn't have random questions though. I had to take the survey several times until all class balance choices I wanted to vote on came up.

    Grimtooth's Ultimate Traps Collection

Tempted. I've only got a couple (One and Too), but they fell apart ages ago and are in a binder.

    WotC Closing LISTSERV Mailing Lists

Like kenmarable says, there's a lot of RPG history in those lists, especially around the lead-up to D&D3. I don't see the OGL listservs in the archives. Did they take those down after Dancey's little indiscretion? Edit: Memory failed me. The OGL listservs were run privately by Dancey. Long gone.

Warforged, Kender, Multiverses, & Errata - An Eclectic News Summary!

Don't listen WotC, stick to your plans! The surveys told the truth, bloat is bad. The hardcore & the amateur press want monthly releases, but the hobbyists just want a healthy game!

    Fifth Edition Foes Monster Book

Hey! Nice to see Necromancer Games come around after the crap they gave the OSRIC people for using the OGL in exactly the same way.

Yeah! They're killing babies with all their hyperbolic whining! ... Wait. Who are you talking about? Or is it just a sermon?

D&D 5E (2014) How Often Do You Have NPCs Join the Party?

I have NPCs going in and out of play nearly all the time. Sometimes the group is forced to hang with NPCs they hate. Usually it's pretty dramatic and often hilarious.

    D&D 5E (2014) Riddle Me This

I love riddles, but I rarely use them; riddles grind on some players' patience and I'm firmly against the idea of "make your save to solve the riddle." No intelligence checks here. When I use them I try to put the solution out there somewhere they can find through exploration or role-playing.

D&D 5E (2014) New Monsters in Rise of Tiamat?

I like Abishai. Did they make them more draconic in 3E? I have Monsters of Faerun somewhere but never used it much. In AD&D1 the only thing they shared with dragons was the color scheme and Tiamat worship. Planescape went further and dropped the draconic stuff entirely IIRC.

    10 Iconic Fictional Swords!

    1. That list is cool, looks good, and 100% accurate to top it off. 2. The word 'iconic' has been abused to the point that it has very little meaning to most people.
