D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

Here are links to the discussions here on ENWorld. Based on the list to the left of the home page, these are the WotC D&D books coming out through the rest of 2025. In short, which ones of these are you excited for? Share in the thread why? https://www.enworld.org/events/dragon-delves.33/...

Where’s The Beastmaster Roleplaying Game? Part 1

I read the books back when I was a teen and was on a big Andre Norton kick after reading Quag Keep. I recall very little of BeastMaster except "dude talks to animals". I think a BeastMaster would make a good playbook in Apocalypse world (ah, has already been done although the link seems dead) -...

Kobold Press Announces 'Cozy' RPG Riverbank

Pretty pumped about this one. First crowdfund of 2025 (and me, a former KS superbacker...). Can't wait for the book either. Will give me an excuse to re-read WitW again. Although I just went to find my copy in the house and it wasn't where I thought it would be shelved 😱

D&D 5E (2014) Which was the most recent Wizards adventure you consider a classic?

Next session will be the 4th session in just Hrakrhamar for my Tomb of Annilhiation game. Suffice it to say I think this group is an outlier; but on the other hand, I totally can see why this could take a long time if you have a party that likes to faff about.

What Are You Listening To? - Reprise

Also, if you like Kim Carnes' voice, new singer of Linkin' Park Emily Armstrong rips. I keep waking up with this song in my head. Although I actually like some of her previous band's work even more (Dead Sara)

D&D General If Nentir Vale were in the Forgotten Realms, where would they be?

Just doesn't load it. I'm bumping up against my hard drive space limit which may have something to do with it...

What are you reading in 2025?

Finished Ken Grimwood's 1986 novel Replay, winner of the WFA in 1988. Shades of Groundhog Day, and in fact apparently Grimwood's lawyers and the film's attorneys had "words". Story features a 38 year old in 1983 (or 43 in 1988? I forget) in a loveless marriage and a dead-endish job dying, and...

What Are You Listening To? - Reprise

I am nowhere near a fan, but I do like the song The Suffering

What does it take for an RPG to die?

The first death is when the company ceases to publish the game (this happens a lot. And there are resurrections. Oh, so many resurrections). The second death is when the last game of it is played, anywhere. The third death is when its name is spoken for the last time, ever.

D&D General If Nentir Vale were in the Forgotten Realms, where would they be?

Not sure exactly what's there now, as online maps of FR beyond sword coast are not great; but I guess I would put it in that area between Cormyr, the Dalelands, and Cormanthor, with those mountains that were at the west of the Nentir Vale being the same as the Deserts Mouth mountains. You'd have...

I probably would make room 16 be a room with arrow slits into 11. Looking forward to next week too.

What Are You Listening To? - Reprise

Yeah same, although I've created a "post-Let's Dance" playlist, with this as the first song. Also, my favorite t-shirt...
