I am a bit nostalgic for that time when I had "unlimited" time to enjoy reading my books and then spending all day Saturday deep into the night playing. Also I am nostalgic for Traveller Little Black Books being $3.50, and my 1978 Player's Hand book costing $12 or whatever.

Well right there shows the entire flaw in this survey. You and I don't have a definition for what "collecting"is; but no doubt neither of us matches with what the survey creators meant; and then 1000+ people took the survey in each country, and who knows how many definitions there were...

(I like a lot of those books - it's great that there are books from other voices also now on the shelves). And I will note that a lot of older books have been updated to have the "new-fangled" trade dress. Wheel of Time for example.
