    Monster Counter Maker

I think that's the one I found before. Thanks! Anyone else know of other, similar tools?

    Monster Counter Maker

I'm looking for a program that you can use to make printable tokens/counters fast and easily. I've seen it before but I can't track it down. It let you import and image, resize it a bit, drop a border around it and print it. I know I can do the same with an image editor, but it seems so much...

    How do I print maps?

There's really not a good way. This works sometimes: Count the number of squares across the map in one direction (if you can). You need to print the map on a piece of paper that wide (or tall, same orientation) to get 1" squares. There is a program called PosteRazor that might be able to...

    Logo Design

We shouldn't derail Jurgen's thread (unless he doesn't mind expanding the topic), but a quick response would be that I like it for it's simplicity. However, I think the black lettering is a bit too dark and thick, like an ink stain. Try a version with white or light gray letters, or possibly...

    Firefox 2.0 Question

Best feature: Spell check in text entry fields. A lot of folks weren't happy with how the tabs work now, but they've mostly found extensions that put it back the way they liked. The improvements are mostly incremental, not ground breaking, and you might disagree with other interface choices...

    Revised Samurai Core Class

I like it a lot... except for focused strike. I think it needs a daily use limit. It's so similar to a smite, but there's no cap on usage. With the concentration roll, you could do it more often - make it 3/day + Con or something. You might want to rename Lunging Strike, since that implies...

    Logo Design

Heh, whoops. My typo. :o That looks a bit better to me, but I think you might have more luck with a completely different design. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what to suggest. Maybe brighter colors? Gold and black, instead of gold and grey?

    Firefox 2.0 Question

Hm. If I understand you correctly, it doesn't behave that way for me. You might want to see about deleting some of your old preferences or uninstalling extensions.

    Logo Design

I like it overall, but a couple of things: 1. The "U" is difficult to identify as a "U". If you already know it says "Ubris", then it's not so bad, but if you're seeing it for the first time it's kind of weird and cryptic. 2. The word "Ubris" is short, and there are a lot of background images...

    (Another) Samurai Core Class

I wouldn't worry about Mighty Cleave. There was some concern over it from Sword and Fist (when it was called Supreme Cleave), but it turns out that was mostly misinterpretation. With great cleave and a non-reach weapon, you can potentially kill 8 medium enemies, if you're surrounded. With...

    Media Players

Correct. But (AFAIK) the only free codec out there is the reverse-engineered DeCSS, which I don't think Media Player will use. I wasn't sure if Aus_Snow had crappy DVD playing software but wanted a good media player, or didn't have DVD software and wanted something to play it.

    Media Players

Ah, true. But if you install DVD playing software, Media Player finds the codec and can play DVDs after that.

    Media Players

VideoLAN is what you want. http://www.videolan.org/ The Media Player in Windows XP really isn't too bad. There's also Media Player Classic. http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/ It looks like Media Player 6, but it's not by Microsoft. There are codecs for them that let them do some...

    Library Collection Managers

I can't recall the name, but there's a Mac-only program that uses the built-in camera to scan and identify the bar code and do an automatic lookup of the book. Basically you just wave it in front of your computer and it finds it for you. Slick, but sadly it's Mac only.

    Diplomacy & Tumble, opposed

There was a fairly recent discussion of tumble here that had some excellent proposed rules. For opposed diplomacy checks, I prefer Rich Burlew's system because it changes the purpose of diplomacy to something I find more palatable. It's also opposed. I would just make one small change to it -...

Geometric MagicIAN (now with stats and detailed spell descriptions)

I like the idea, and you've got most of the details down. However, I see it as mostly a cosmetic change. The geometric parts are flavor and color. The nuts and bolts seem to be based an elemental-style system, which you can probably pull together without too much effort. Once you've got that...

A Dark Harbor Map Homebrew Conversion...

Wow, these are great. What's the MapMaker PLUS package? In the "woodcut" maps, some things are a bit too blurry compared to the clarity of the others. I'm not sure how to equalize that, but they should be more similar. Maybe the swamp and slope graphics should be a little more crisp.
