well according to the usual magic weapon rules i'd say that you can.. you just pay the difference between "before" and "after" ... Btw to the original poster.. such a gauntlet/glove is a weapon.. = you Do not the weapon bonus to any other weapon you are carrying...

I admitt the old 3.0 archmage might have been a bit imba... but he had 3 "different" spell power... +3, +2 and +1 .. and you could ad them all together.. I do not think it is unreasonable for a 3.5 Archmage to pick Spellpower more than once... for a total.. of like... +3 or something...

According to the description the Shield *can be wielded* meaning it will fill the shield slot.. no?

Remember though, that this item takes the Ring slot and the Shield slot... So it is really a "2-slot" item if you want to use it. I had not even thought of the ghost touch ability, thank you for bringing that to my knowledge.. I figure you use want to use the "weapon guideline" as it matches...

The point of the forceshield ring... is that you actually get a shield that, to my knowledge provides a Shield bonus to AC even though the shield is made of force. the text says that it can be equiped and does not incur spell failure... which made me think that it was the perfect shield for...

Well... not a big problem is it ? Just use Orbs to eliminate the images and MM afterwards. Magic missile is just like some "Heat seeking Missile"... If you can't target a source of Heat.. how can you expect it to hit anything? In our Case, it is "Creature seeking"... Hence... no effects on...
