An Enemy Within Trailer and pending in depth guide.

There are plenty of new adventures as well. I am happy for The Enemy Within to be re-released because now I can have a hard-copy.

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

I think this is a prime example of what Dan Olsen mentioned he encountered in discords: big talk about the future value of the NFTs - they're all going to be swimming in money bins full of cryptocoins, so full that they'll be farting out enough change to buy M:TG.

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

Fear Of Missing Out, plus selling it as belonging to a club. All it takes is a few people to fall for the scam. And then those who do are desperate to convince others it's not a scam else all their money has gone.

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

The stupid thing is that you are buying proof of ownership of a thing, not ownership of the thing itself. And the thing? You want to show it to someone then the technology they use (usually a web browser) will create a copy of it on their device so they can view it.... so then they have...

Imperial Zoo - Oh what a bestiary!

I see TS Luikart was also writer for WFRP 2E’s Old World Bestiary.

Imperial Zoo - Oh what a bestiary!

I assume the weakness of Caledair, the Scythe of Fire is laughter because a creature with such a name would only end up dying of embarrassment when confronted by PCs.

Imperial Zoo - Oh what a bestiary!

Hmmm. There are a number of beasties with no rating in Grim. I assume that means the rating is 1. It was confusing reading the description of the trait Grim mentioning a Rating when the first creature with Grim had no rating. Only when I read Caledair, The Scythe of Fire who has Grim 3 did I...

Imperial Zoo - Oh what a bestiary!

My initial impression - a little disappointed the format of the book is different from the rest of 4E. I've grown fond of the grey background and the bronze/brown background of The Imperial Zoo makes it feel like it's not a WFRP 4E book to me.

An RPG-suitable method for crippling the Internet

If you have a modern day zombie crisis setting, then the power grids are likely to stop working sooner or later bringing down the internet just because zombies would be eating the people required to keep it going. Its demise might be hastened if a wealthy evil organization targeted a few...

An RPG-suitable method for crippling the Internet

Bring down the power. Your zombie-hideout might have its own power supply, but that won't help all those remote servers that are the internet if they don't. The internet relies on the communications network. Bring down a couple of local interchanges and the people in the area have lost access...

Let's Talk About Fantasy heartbreaks and other FRPGs

Looking up some of the forge commentary about the term "fantasy heartbreaker", yes I agree - D&D due to its popularity is the game most people seek to "improve" with their heartbreakers. But then who can forget the game/LARP Vampire: Undeath?

Very jealous of those who have it already. Mine is in the city but won’t be delivered until 2 Feb.

Tell me your experiences with RIFTS

My experience did not last long - the lack of balance and poor rules lead to the game ending after one session which was a pity because I really liked the setting and kept buying the books for a while after this. All I remember of that game was that I played a baby dragon.

Is there one RPG to rule them all? What version?

The One Ring. Because that's what is written on the inside. (The) One Ring to rule them all, (The) One Ring to find them, (The) One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. But I guess if you manage to throw all copies into Mount Doom there could be another.

Let's Talk About Fantasy heartbreaks and other FRPGs

Calling every other fantasy rpg a "heartbreaker" pretty much makes the term meaningless since all it then means is "a fantasy game that is not D&D".

Is open source a losing proposition for new rpg's

With regards to Dungeon World, just remember that the original release was funded via Kickstarter. So I think they made money, and the PDF is still being sold via drivethrurpg so it may still be generating income.
