Well thanks to a few people who responded, we got most of this done this weekend. So we don't need anymore help. We'll post again if we need more services in the future.
Thanks!
James
No, just offering people another place to buy where they can use PAYPAL or pick up some none-TSR stuff along the way. We just spent 7 months negotiating a contract with WOTC to offer the same products. Actually, we'll be much more responsive to new releases I'm sure as there are several items...
RPGNow.com now has old-school TSR products for sale such as classic Dungeons and Dragons, AD&D, Forgotten Realms, Dark Sun, Ravenloft, Gamma World, Alternity, and much more.
Good news... I'm getting most of the CD's of WOTC files on Saturday for the backlog of ESD products they sell. So I'm trying to work hard to get the products loaded to the database. Regertfully there is no automation (their fault not mine) for loading this stuff... so we have to do a lot of cut...
Chances of getting some publisher to like your idea so much that they will take time away from their busy release schedule to give it serious consideration is very low. I wouldn't hold your breathe on that ...
But there are some companies (like ENworld and RPGObjects and a few others) that can...
Hey, you have mentioned RPGNow serveral times so I thought I'd chime in a bit:
- Cafepress is going to give you a very small profit on the sale of a book. RPGnow lets you set your own price and charges you only cost of printing for the book - thus the requirement to pre-purchase a batch of 10...
I wouldn't discount that number so quickly. Most successful gaming stores push 100-300k a year though their stores. I know several online stores that do that as well. It seems like a reasonable amount if you count the whole product line of game stores.
I also don't think that Mongoose has as...
I too have no love for paypal but am forced to use them. It's scary as we have a LOT of cash flow going through them and are at risk for hundreds of dollars every day even with constantly withdrawing.
Just recently I typed in a wrong email address to pay someone for RPGNow earnings... it took 3...
I suppose ROC just isn't around anymore - not sure. They could move it. The 6-8 one would have been put ther by the vendor as we probably didn't put that one there.
In short, we setup the categories but the publisher choose which one to be in. We sometimes override them, but mostly we leave...
March Madness Membership Drive!
RPGNow & a few select publishers are sponsoring a new customer drive! The rules are simple: top new customer recruiters in March will win prizes! Get your friends or buddies from your local game store to signup at RPGNow or even hand out flyers at conventions or...
It is... though I'm not sure it's that simple to bound on the other edge. As covers are made from large 11x17 sheets and folded over and then glue stuck on the inside for binding. So you'd not have the binding on the other side with that format for POD.

I think it works well for those who mostly read the pages on the screen and sometimes print out a couple. I don't particularly think it works well for a POD version of a book though - so keep that in mind.

He means PDF no PSD ... you can place locks on the portable document format file so that people can't cut and paste text out of it for their own use. Half the beauty of a PDF product is that you can cut and past and print just what you need to make it fit into your existing worlds... Some...
I hope you took the time to leave a comment on RPGNow.com instead of just here. That's where prospective buyers will see it.
I'm not sure why they are locking their documents, esp when our customer polls obviously state that it's one of the things they hate most.
We don't "push" or force the...
It's a high quality lazer printing that looks 80-90% like an actual book you'd buy. Only lacks the laminate cover really.
Anyway, more info on the POD products from RPGNow are here:

Mongoose has the same low cost options as every other vendor on RPGNow to create a POD (Print on Demand) version to sell. It's simple to do, costs only a few bucks and provides a quality end product mailed to your door at a reasonable price.
Nag them, maybe they'll do it...
Our RPGNow forums have some interesting and heated topics posted about ePublishing and RPGNow rules/regulations.
We'd appreciate hearing your input on a number of publisher and RPGNow releated topics. They all effect you too (as publishers)...
