Eh. NWN does have the advantage of actually being D&D, and having multiplayer, but the Morrowind engine is looking a lot nicer, and the editor a lot friendlier.

Give the game a few months for fan expansions to happen. I bet it's only a matter of time before someone tries to convert their old D&D modules using Morrowind's construction set.

Maybe just require ranks in an appropriate Knowledge skill. Mundane animals would be rather simple, Monsters would require either research or tutoring from someone who knows of them, demonics and celestials would require demonology or planar knowledge, etc.

Well, I included no less than twelve little riddle/puzzle parts to the latter part of the adventure. They're short, and relatively simple, because in my experience if they're made too hard they can bog down an adventure, but they're there. I just put them in to add to the mysticism and symbolism...

I'm fully aware I can house-rule it. That's not the problem I have with it. The problem I have is that there's literally no reason not to have it in core D&D canon, and even less reason to contradict and retcon the past canon that allowed it (1E, 2E).

Faiths and Pantheons lists Orcus, Baphomet, and Pazrael as demons who achieved Lesser Deity status, and Gargauth as an Archdevil who became a demigod. This directly contradicts the statements in Deities and Demigods, as well as what Monte has said. Discuss.

Manual of the Planes 3E has Kiriansalee disappearing shortly after the rumours of Orcus returning. Either Orcus has killed her, or she's afraid enough of him that she's gone to ground. Bottom line, he's a threat to her (and how could he not be? He killed Bwimb, Manzecorian, Primus, etc.) and...
