I don't really think gaming has held me back, and even if I could argue that it has it would probably only be replaced by something else.

This is how I like to do things as well. It really helps keep the sense of exploration and discovery going for the players.

I really like this so far. I could definitely see myself using this on my iPad while I DM. A little easier to look up monsters and random spells on the fly. I mainly play on Fantasy Grounds, so the SRD isn't that useful for me, and I can't really say I like how they have that part organized.

It has gone this way for me as well. I also understand that by not buying from my FLGS that I am contributing towards the problem (the store doesn't get much RPG interest so why stock RPG books?) but there just comes a point where I don't want to walk into that glorified card shop to most...

Something lime this would be pretty interesting if you were able to achieve critical mass in terms of players and DMs. I think the real crux would be getting everyone to agree on what system to use! :)

I wonder how the growth of RPGs would look like when compared to the decline of miniature wargaming (especially of the Historical kind), and before anyone asks I am not talking about pre-paints like Stars Wars: X-Wing or Armada.
