    XP Levels Revealed!

A little Googling suggests that level 14 is Mind Flayer and level 15 is Lesser Angel. (I searched for "weem "lvl 14"" and "weem "lvl 15"", since he was those levels before he hit 16.)

Too bad they didn't have glasses back then...

If I was really concerned about it, I'd try to adapt some of GURPS' rules. Between Vehicles, Spaceships, and similar books, I think they had things fairly well worked out. Wouldn't be a perfect fit, since GURPS' success rolls are bell curves while d20's are linear, but close enough for me...

Too bad they didn't have glasses back then...

Yeah, game rules -- especially d20's -- don't make good simulations of reality when taken too far. That said, the rules may have holes... So if Bear On A Hill is trying to hide (faint memories of a previous incarnation as a ninja, perhaps?), do our intrepid adventurers have to oppose his...

    Do you pull the chain?

If we haven't got anywhere else to be, sure (if the objective was "get the MacGuffin to stop the end of the world", we might want to move along). But we'd probably stop and rest and make sure everyone is at full strength and full spells, if they weren't already -- and maybe rest even if we...

Preview of the new D&D COmic!

I'm pretty sure Andrew Cosby (one of the co-creators of Eureka) is the "Andy" and the "Cosby" mentioned in Rogers' DarkMatter d20 story hour.

    Mutants & Masterminds 3rd Edition

It's the same concept -- your skill modifier +10 (for an average d20 roll). In 3.xe and M&M 1e & 2e, it was "taking 10"; in D&D 4e, it's "passive [skill] value"; and in M&M 3e, it's apparently "routine value".

D&D DMing is not playing chess against the players!!

Yes, there should be a strict "one person, one participation in a particular topic of conversation" rule. Actually, I think there might be such a rule already. Probably in the secret part of the Constitution, where they talk about the alien space bats, the designated hitter rule, spoilers for...

    Cataboligne demons' eye rays: wtf?!

Quoth the SRD: So, yeah, you could voluntarily fail the save in order to avoid being dazed. I guess that would be real handy if you had a freedom of movement effect going.

    Got me an Orcus today!

In the 4427 pic, I think you need some of those tiny little AD&D 1e books that were published years ago stacked next to them, and a tiny little DM screen in front of Orcus. :)

Favote Fantasy RPG(s) other than D&D

GURPS. I do want to try Savage Worlds (using the Hellfrost setting, or a variation thereof).

    Playing Evil Races (D&D Outsider)

I was going to give OhGodtheRats XP, but I don't want to risk pushing him to the next level, and out of gnoll-dom. :)

Preview of the new D&D COmic!

IIRC, one or more of Eureka's creators used to be in Rogers' gaming group. I already told my FLCS to get me a copy.

Congrats to "Obryn Troll (Lvl 10)"

It's a mention tag, but it seems like it's currently non-functional -- see here.

    Gambling Games

Yeah, thread necromancy. However, before I noticed the date, I was thinking of a dice game someone showed me back in the '80s, at a D&D game. It was called In-Between. And lo, Wipput Guud mentioned it. Aside from that one guy (I think he was a teacher from a the local Christian high school)...

Anybody knows prestige class's rage stack with barbarian rage?

Or some undead thread bane weapons.

    Cataboligne demons' eye rays: wtf?!

The real problem is when there's at least one of these things for each PC, and then another monster or two. Then they can lock down the PCs, and the other monster can kill the PCs slowly. But really, this isn't quite unique. Take two balors (or two of any other monsters with at-will blasphemy)...

The Hobbit in Limbo: No Mo Del Toro

Doesn't really matter. Any of those movies, you know there won't be any donkeyhorses.

Technically, I believe Mr. Scruffy gets that credit. Which was awesome.

    Testing

Morrus: I was trying to use the mention tags, but it came out replacing the name wrapped in tags with "@Morrus;" Like this: jonrog1, piratecat, Rel. (That's jonrog1, Piratecat, and Rel.) No link, no @username, just @Morrus. Is it broke? Did I miss that memo?

[Comic] Preview of D&D Comic from IDW

Seemed like classic D&D to me. Heck, it has the giant statue from the 1e PHB. sigh. I need to cut back on comics, jonrog1!
