    Dragon 365 - Artificer

That's a really cool idea. A crossbow with an underslung rod or wand is a great image. Alternately, they could create a magic crossbow that also functions as an implement, similar to a pact blade. There's an artificer magic item in 3.5 that does exactly that. In 4e it could be a Belt-slot...

    Dragon 365 - Artificer

No, but you can give our free higher level abilities at higher levels. Wizards get free rituals at levels 5, 11, 15, 21, and 25. I don't see why Artificers shouldn't get three extremely important rituals at levels 4, 5, and 6 (I'm including Brew Potion as well as Enchant Magic Item and...

What not yet published concept are you hoping for?

I'm really looking forward to the Swordmage, since it's my favorite character archetype. Other than that, necromancer and summoner. I especially want to know how they're going to pull off summoning powers.

Does damage awaken a sleep spell victim?

I've always found it amusing that people insist on characters waking up if injured while magically sleeping, but think it's perfectly reasonable for characters to remain sleeping in the middle of a freaking combat zone. If it's just "sleep", then surely you'd be woken up by all the screaming...

    D&D 4E Anyone make a Binder class for 4E?

The 4e Classes preview book said that one of the 4 pacts available to Warlocks was the Vestige pact. It was cut from the PH, but presumably binder-themed warlocks will show up in some future supplement.

Paragon Multiclassing: What am I missing?

I don't mind that the actual powers gained at 11th, 12th, and 20th level are a bit weaker than the ones in PPs, because you choose them from a big list, so you gain a lot in flexibility for the loss of raw powers. But I wish paragon multiclassing also gave you an 11th level action point...

Swordmages and half-orcs hit the streets!

A character who started with an 18 Int can have a +8 Int bonus at 28th level even without the demigod bonus. A character who starts with an Int of 20 and has the demigod destiny can have an Int bonus of +10 by 28th level. That would give your example a 31 AC bonus, which is just plain broken...

Why is Firestorm the best 19th level control spell?

Spell Accuracy, which all wizards should pick up at 21st level, only two levels after gaining black tentacles. Spell Focus also makes it more likely that opponents will remain trapped in the black tentacles for longer. Also consider that the wizard can be standing in front of the zone casting...

Real Locations that should be fantasy

I've been there, and it's just as creepy in person. Actually, it might even be stranger in person, because it's inside the medieval town of Gruyere, a fortified town on the top of a hill. So you walk down the main street of a medieval town, pass through an arch into a small courtyard, and...

    Intelligent Weapons

The Dragon article about Warforged gave us this tidbit in its description of docents: "Docents can have an alignment, personality quirks, extra powers, and any other traits ascribed to intelligent items or customized items in Adventurer’s Vault."

    1st Level Character : score of 20 ?

Wizards also benefit a lot from a maxed-out Intelligence. They use it for all their attacks, damage, reflex, and AC, as well as their Arcana skill for rituals. Aside from Intelligence, Wizards benefit from a moderate Wisdom for some of their spells (especially if have orb mastery), and benefit...

How soon do you want more classes?

I don't really feel the need for new classes now either. I already have more cool character ideas than I could possibly play. That said, I do want the bard, druid, and swordmage ASAP, to convert old characters. What I want more than anything else now are more paragon paths, more epic...

    Fighter Vs Paladin

These are awesome, and fighters' Stance powers make them even better at this. Rain of Steel (D5), Unyielding Avalanche (D15), and Reaper's Stance (D25) all let a fighter inflict 1[W] damage on every opponent that starts its turn adjacent to him, in addition to other effects. Unyielding...

Combat ends, a person is still -hp what happens ?

I would assume that one of the other party members went over to stabilize him. If they just leave him to bleed out, he'd probably eventually die. In other words, the rules of death and dying don't change just because the combat "ends".

    Marketing criticisms miss the point

What that poll told us was, at best, that 39% of the ENWorld posters who chose to answer that poll said that they would not be going over to 4e. Message board polls are useless for assessing what's really going on. Even if we assumed that ENWorld is representative of the core audience of D&D...

    Oa

The term "interrupt" just means it happens before the wizard casts the spells. If the wizard's alive, not stunned, etc. after the OA then he casts the spell normally.

    Spell Focus

...which is rather pointless, since it's a Paragon feat and can't be taken until 11th level. :D Edit: My first Ninjaing! I'm so proud.

Spelljammer: 4th ed, do helms drain Daily, encounter, at will spells?

That's a fantastic idea! Though perhaps the advanced function of exchanging encounter/daily powers for ship powers should be a feat. How about this: A Helmsman feat that gives characters an alternative "suite" of encounter powers focused around piloting a ship, which he can use in place of his...

    Ancestral Pact (Heroic levels)

As far as I can tell, there's no such thing as a "50% miss chance" in 4e. everything that used to give miss chances in 3e now gives straight-up defense bonuses, or prevents targeting entirely.

    Perception: We've all gone blind!

How is this worse from 3e, in which only the Rogue, Ranger, and Druid has listen and spot as class skills, and had to blow twice as many skill points on them. Plus, in 4e, it's easy and cheap to spend a feat to become trained in perception, or multiclass into ranger and take perception as your...
