    RESIDENT EVIL Game [Complete]

Oh, I have no problem playing a zombie! In fact, that might be best for me, being new and all. Heck, I'd love to be some kind of Nemesis/Mr. X monstrosity smashing around.. heh... but uh.. let's not get carried away, right? Besides, I don't have the D20 Modern rules...>cringe< Maybe I should...

[OOC] Pulp Cthulhu: The Lost Temple of Yig

D'oh! Late again for yet another game start-up. Well, I'd love to play, but I'm in the same barrel with mirthcard: I have no rulebook. Any way to get around that?:(

What new games would you like to see?

What makes Pulp Cthulhu "pulp"? Indiana Jones type heroes? Or Doc Savage? My only real reference for pulp is the basic ones that everyone would know, and Adventure! by white wolf. Seems to me that in pulp adventures, the heroes stand a chance of defeating the bad guys... but in Cthulhu? Not as...

    RESIDENT EVIL Game [Complete]

Uhm.. this is embarassing.. but.. am I Lazarus? 'cause, my email address has "lazarus" in it, and I prolly didn't put my board name in my e-mail to you... see, I don't want to assume anything... I haven't gotten any further emails, but then I didn't expect to... so, forgive the confusion, if I'm...

Groovy! Eden to do Army of Darkness RPG!!!

It should be entertaining. There was an old AoD rpg way back in the early 90's I think.. at least some company put out minis for one.... I don't remember much about it, but I forsee a moderate amount of success, especially if they put D20 material in it. I'm really looking forward to AFMBE 2nd...

Races of Faerun and Arms and Equipment Guide are out!

I saw both of these at the store today and I have to say I ws disappointed with the Arms & Equipment Guide. It's thin, for one, and hardcover, so that makes it seem like it's just hardcover to jack up the price. It's a hardcover "splatbook" basically. Flipping through it, I was again let down a...

Do you exclusively play a single race?

I only play drow ninja anti-paladins of the God of blood and depravity. Oh wait.. that's not true, I'm not a 14 year old boy. I tend to play human or half-elves, and some times dwarves. Currently I'm playing a dwarf, in a predominately elf party, and they all like to mock me endlessly. I'm...

    Slings

An ewok uses one in Return of the Jedi to take out a stormtrooper. Then another one also tries to use one but ends up wrapping it around his head. Kill me.

Something my son said... do you remember

Curse you Bargle! Cuuuuuurrrrse yooou! >shakes fist in empty rage, then collapses sobbing< I loved that cleric. >sniffle< Hm, guess who's gonna be a major villain in my next campaign?

How bad is an 8 in an ability score?

I find that applying real-world levels of ability to game statistic numbers is often inaccurate and kind of ridiculous. To answer the original question: "An 8 is slightly worse than a 9 and slightly better than a 7."

The Origin of the Gnoll (again)

That's hilarious. Add Christopher Walken in there, and that would be a good gaming group. Hahaha, oh man, how surreal would that be? Imagine all four of them showing up to your house every other Friday night to game? I wonder if Snoop would bring his posse? "Roll my dice, yo, fo' shizzle." Would...

    [Troll] 3.5 cover

A book with a cover actually made from chainmail... BRILLIANT! Okay, I vow, as whatever higher power is my witness, that if I ever start a game company, I will produce such a book! (minus the tears and blood, yuck-o)

Quick, I need a character concept!

I vote for the Dread Pirate too. Except, be like a fledgling dread pirate, whose goal is to become truly dreaded. Whatever you play, you have to have a sword that belonged to your father, who was wrongly killed by whoever is in authority. If you find a new, better sword, ditch your "father's...

    [OT] WotC loses Pokemon license

A couple weeks ago I was in one of my local game stores o na Friday night, and there was a huge crowd of kids there, making just a ton of noise, all with one of the guys who works at the store yelling over the cacophony various intructions, commands, and threats. It was a nuthouse. I asked at...

At what age did you start gaming?

I said "9-12", but that's kinda subjective. I had always had a hugely overactive imagination, and I was reading The Hobbit and LotR books in early grammar school. (Though not understanding some parts of them.) I had "gamed" with a friend, by making stuff up, drawing rough maps on paper, and...

The Origin of the Gnoll (again)

Getting back to gnomes... er... gnolls... I DO remember reading somewhere, I'm thinking it was the red box Basic D&D (with the Elmore cover), but maybe it was the edition right before that, that gnolls were a cross between gnomes and trolls. I also remember thinking, "Why the Hell do they look...

The Cthulhu Mythos and D&D homebrews

Eh. The Mythos are okay. I've used aspects of them in a lot of my games. But always, it was just really the whole part about something alien and evil. I personally don't like the "life is hopeless and you're a victim of unspeakable cosmic forces" in my games. I mean, that's too close to how real...

(Un)Lucky with the dice - How can it happen?

I have been rolling legendarily bad in my current game. I mean amazingly bad. The other players find it hilarious. Which doesn't help any. I figure it's karma. They keep telling me to go buy some new dice. I don't seriously think that will help, as it never has before. Gamers are funny. A lot of...
