I have to give another votew for the Mutants & Masterminds Damage Save . It's pretty brilliant. The whole game is brilliant. Hopefully someone will catch on and make a fantasy game that has a similar system.

Well, if anyone is still paying attention, I went out and got Swashbuckling Adventures I like it, I think it will help me out a lot. It even has "low-magic" versions of rangers, bards, and paladins, which will fit perfectly into my setting. The new core classes they present are good too...

I think anyone that has put up with listening to me long enough knows that one of my biggest complaints about 3E is that magic items are a given, and even a necessity. Sure, they're important and neat to have, but the game is skewed so that characters HAVE to have them to succeed at high levels...
