So apparently WOTC is intentionally limiting feedback on the Ranger compared to all other classes. They don't even let you rate and comment on the Ranger subclasses, and you only get 200 words on the Ranger compared to 500 for everyone else. LOL, WOTC really does hate Rangers.

Oh, I agree. That wasn't a complaint. I just think it's funny that WOTC pretty much admitted Searing Smite is an intentionally inferior spell.

I love how they kept it on the Divine list and didn't bother to make it part of the Paladin's Smite kit. Hey, Cleric, wanna Smite? Cool, you get Searing Smite, which is still light years inferior to even the Paladin's nerfed Divine Smite.

It's overpowered in the early levels but just fine past level 6 or so. They just need to add this feature to the progression: Favored Enemy improvement When you reach 6th level as a ranger, you no longer need to concentrate on hunter's mark.

Yup, I love it. Hopefully this also means the Battle Master is getting a do-over.

Pretty sure they haven't had the opportunity to revise weapon mastery yet. All of it is as it was in the previous doc.

Plus Rangers can still take cantrips as their Fighting Style (from Tasha's). And having Weapon Mastery makes that tradeoff much less painful.

Fine with this. If you want cantrips as a Paladin or Ranger, take the Fighting Style from Tasha's. Weapon Mastery makes doing that a lot less painful now.

Not even so much that. More like to multiclass, you need to have the stats for ALL the classes you want. A Paladin/Ranger multiclass needs 13s in four stats (STR, DEX, WIS, CHA) to even happen in the first place.

lolwut? You're relying on something that happens 5% of the time, and within a specified time frame. Shield OTOH affects 25% of all attack rolls against you. That's a much higher frequency of meaningful effect. It's not hypothetical. It's pure math. You're the one arguing hypotheticals here...

It breaks the game because it gives the Wizard AC against multiple attacks that should be reserved for martial characters. It's just another example of casters ruling over martials and doing martial things better than martials do. Also by level 4, a Variant Human or Custom Lineage Wizard has...
