    D&D 5E (2014) Crossbow Expert

Yes, you could. I suppose this is the only reason for the addition of the LOADED requirement... Another weird bit of minutia to keep track of. Was first-turn hand crossbow double-shooting REALLY such a problem?

    D&D 5E (2014) Human Racial Benefits

Yes, your weak stats going from 10 to 11 won't help you any. Even 11 to 12, actually netting you a whopping +1 bonus, is unlikely to matter. Surely it'd be better if, in those unexpected situations, you had an extra skill AND a feat like Lucky that gives you a reroll? +1 to all stats won't...

D&D 5E (2014) Dwarves: too good as fighters?

Unlike elves, dwarves have been BUSY over their long lives!

    D&D 5E (2014) Human Racial Benefits

Okay, assuming people are best served by pumping their main stat to 20 before anything else... Without rolling for stats, they're starting with 15 + 2 = 17, and at 4th level, they push it to 19. At 8th level (6th for Fighters), you could pick a half-feat (+1 to stat and a minor benefit) to get...

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlock slot levels - typo?

You don't get higher-level spells through the usual short rest slots. There's a specific class feature that gives them 1 daily spell to cast from each higher level.

There'd be no point to pick a Human ever then, though.

For games that don't use feats? That'd be so underpowered, as a single feat can give you multiple skill proficiencies... Giving them the Lucky feat instead of letting them pick a feat would be widely applicable and useful, representing their versatility, and give them their own thing?

    D&D 5E (2014) Ranger

Perhaps the devs viewed animal companions as a form of temphp pool that you can refresh with a long rest once it's gone?

    D&D 5E (2014) Ranger

Yes. That makes the most defining quality of Ranger, the animal companion, a dead weight. The pets also have tiny pools of HP and bad AC, so they'll be literal dead weight soon enough.

    D&D 5E (2014) Human Racial Benefits

The feat + skill variant is so much better it's silly. It looks like my preferred race pick, unless I know the campaign will go to levels 12+ (by which point the other races have maxed their main stat and have started picking up feats). No-one should ever use the +1 to all stats version.

    D&D 5E (2014) Bracers of Defense

+3 stacking AC can halve the hits coming in on the Monk/Wizard with Mage Armor/Sorc with Dragon scales. So much for magic items not being needed in builds.

    D&D 5E (2014) Finally

Could you list what a single totem for the Barbarian does? Just pick any of them and a rough description of its effect at different levels, if you would. I think I'm fine after that, thanks again for doing all this browse-browse-typing. :)

    D&D 5E (2014) Rolling for Stats

Finish the current thing, do a fresh start once the PHB comes out. Even if they continue with the same characters, you can say you're rebuilding them from scratch, now that you have all the options. That guy with the 30 points, compared to the highest, ouch.

    D&D 5E (2014) Finally

Thanks for doing all of this! Are there grappling-related feats (not Tavern Brawler), and what they roughly do?

    D&D 5E (2014) Finally

More beams for the cantrip = extra attacks, which makes me question why there even is an invocation for getting a second attack action, because your pact sword just isn't going to cut it compared to a ranged option (that uses your main stat, at that).

    D&D 5E (2014) Two-Weapon Fighting Style seems ... bad

Duelist gets all those benefits as well, and basically does as much damage as TWF (until surpassing it).

D&D 5E (2014) Empowered Evocation plus Magic Missile?

D&D 5E (2014) Empowered Evocation plus Magic Missile?

As written, the bonus applies to each missile. Because after all this time, DnD still cannot understand the power of multi-attacks... So expect that to get errataed into something like, only applies once per target.

D&D 5E (2014) Review of New Players Handbook Posted at Acts of Geek...

The condition pictures ARE really cute. That's not at all what I was expecting. :p

    D&D 5E (2014) Two-Weapon Fighting Style seems ... bad

Conditional yes, as that's how Battle Master worked before. Of course, his little tricks were too few between rests, and so weak that if they kept to the same level for the final product, it won't save TWF or Battle Master.
