exact casting time of wand of enlarge person

This, of course, is your assumption. It may well be true as per the intent of the game's designers, but that's anybody's guess. According to the Counterspelling Rules, you cannot counterspell something unless it is identified. (The first step to counterspelling is identifying the spell.) You're...

More attacks than an octopus and his Siamese twin…nearly

Erm... no. Whirlwind attack is a full-round action to use, and you forfeit any additional attacks (such as cleave) when making it. So the best you could do is hit eight opponents with a non-reach melee weapon, and that's assuming there's eight opponents immediately around you. With a reach...

exact casting time of wand of enlarge person

But seeing as how all the caster does to cast the spell is point a rod at someone and say a command word (such as "bam!"), how are you going to identify the non-present verbal and somatic components to identify the spell?

    Little Known Rules of D&D

No, Powerful Build specifically does not grant the Goliath extra reach.

More attacks than an octopus and his Siamese twin…nearly

Hang on a moment... I don't know much about those two prestige classes, but how are you ending up with full BAB for all 13 levels? If anything, the max BAB you should have is +12 assuming Shou Disciple and Shintao Monk have fighter BAB (since the first Monk level would give you a +0). Is there...

Maximum Enhancement for a Bane weapon?

As far as I know, there's no rule saying that you can't beat down an adamantine door with a wooden club. However, in my games, if you try to attack an object with hardness equal to or greater than your weapon, your weapon takes the same amount of damage you deal- so sure, it's possible he could...

exact casting time of wand of enlarge person

I've asked this question before- and I don't think it has a RAW answer. The rules aren't too clear on counterspelling spells from items. As for someone actually casting the spell, however, the answer is yes, as far as I know. It can be countered at any point during the casting.

    Faster wand activation?

The only thing I can think of offhand is Eberron's Artificer. They get an ability around 7th or 8th level called "Metamagic Spell Trigger"- you can apply a Metamagic Feat that you have to a spell contained within a wand, by using up one extra charge per increased spell level. Therefore, you...

    Question on multiclassing and Saves

You would indeed have +6/+4/+4 saves- however, you'd have a +1 BAB, caster level of 1, and a bunch of abilities that wouldn't make you as good as a 3rd-level character who just took one class. You'd have great saves, yes- but multiclassing, in general, sucks.

    Dragonkin+Monkey Grip=best DPS?

There's so many things wrong with this I don't know what to say.

Maximum Enhancement for a Bane weapon?

The weapon you quoted can be made, but it's an epic item. His point was that just because a weapon requires the Craft Epic Arms & Armor feat doesn't mean it overcomes DR of /Epic. Anyway, as I noted at the very beginning, there's debate on this. Really, itdepends on the DM's ruling of the...

exact casting time of wand of enlarge person

There isn't an argument. The casting time is one round. That means it takes one round to cast. Not one full-round action (such as a sorcerer casting an Empowered Magic Missile, which takes a full-round action), but, rather, one round. The various Summon Monster spells, for example, have casting...

    Non-monk unarmed fighter

There's a feat in the Tome of Battle that, if I'm not mistaken, grants you a progressively increasing unarmed damage, at about half the speed of the monk's increase. So, by 4th level, you're dealing 1d6 with your unarmed strikes, which increases to 1d8 and then 1d10 or something like that. I'd...

    Stacking Damage Reduction?

As Drowbane said, you use whichever best one applies. Against normal attacks, you take 10 damage off each attack. If the attacker has a cold iron weapon, you take 10 damage off each attack. If he has a +1 silver longsword or something similar, you take 1 damage off each attack. If he somehow...

    On Languages...

If you're willing to suspend the fantasy setting of D&D enough to allow an appearance of William Shatner, why in the world are you concerned with the rules not letting the players understand him? Obviously you're doing it for the sake of humor or amusement or something other than sticking purely...

Maximum Enhancement for a Bane weapon?

It depends on what the DM decides. All the rules say about a Bane weapon is that "its effective enhancement bonus is +2 higher against its designated foe". As for what this means, that's up to the DM. Most DMs allow it to even apply to a +5 weapon (honestly, I don't see a reason why not)...

DR in PHB II - examples of backwards or limited use?

Think of it this way: Nobody, when getting DR, thinks to themselves, "I want protection that only my worst enemy can defeat!" Rather, they say, "I want protection that NOBODY can defeat!" Then, their worst enemy, not wanting them to have that protection, says, "Alright. Let's find a way to...
