    Char-op Box

1 & 2 are a possible approach but far from the only one. Dwarven Fighters are very popular for example. 3) Many classes are better served by a different spread of abilities. Archer Rangers, Rogues and Wizards are the most likely (certainly of the PHB1 classes) to have an unadjusted 18 stat. It...

    Eladrin trance - 'waking' penalty?

My Elven ranger gets that anyway. Even when asleep she's got the best perception in the party.

Battle Standard of Healing and Healer's Brooch: overpowered healing?

I'm not going to disagree there. There was an Iron Kingdom's campaign which had huge abuse of the alchemy rules and feats that allowed a character to make and sell several million gold pieces worth of acid.... Except that it's not multiple auras doing damage or imposing penalties. It's...

    details of Riposte Strike

To clarify a point up the page if your attack pushes or slides the target away from you so that he's out of range then he doesn't get to hit you

Battle Standard of Healing and Healer's Brooch: overpowered healing?

We've got a character who's built up so that each healing banner does 8 points of healing per healing surge used. (No I don't know what items he uses) It's not uncommon for his initial round to be spent planting a banner and action pointing to plant another one. On particularly tough fights he...

Which character sounds the most fun

Guys it's probably a bad idea to start discussing the ethics of the real world on the board.

    Indirect Attacks and Invisibility

    a) attacking doesn't end all forms of invisibility anyway b) it's possible that the post you saw was talking about moving a stinking cloud onto people rather than the initial attack

    quick fighter question

No, it's not an opportunity attack so it doesn't gain combat superiority or any other bonus to opportunity attacks

    D&D 4E What Doesn't 4E Do Well?

I'm not sure that any class based system makes it easy to create a balanced new class.

Weapons as Implements. Working as intended?

Actually Arcane Admixture doesn't allow you to add Radient damage, just fire, cold, lightning, thunder or acid

Two fighter questions: mark, footwork lure.

    1) As pointed out by others I suspect that he's confusing it with Wardens 2) As a general rule no, but it might be possible in some cases (iirc there's a halfling feat that lets you share a square with creatures that are large or bigger)

    Pit Fighter Balance

Yes, now that you point it out it's obvious that is what he was talking about.

    Pit Fighter Balance

Wisdom isn't a bad thing for a fighter to pump anyway seeing as he gets it as a bonus to opportunity attacks, (I don't know whether there are too many feats a fighter wants that need wis) and boosts will defence. So it's certainly very strong for a reasonably common fighter build. A +3 or +4...

    D&D 4E What Doesn't 4E Do Well?

It really depends on what feats you have available. I don't know that I'll be dropping too many heroic level feats from my Ranger at any stage...

    D&D 4E What Doesn't 4E Do Well?

One point to consider there is that a lot of the wondrous items etc retain value better than the armour, weapons/implements and neck slots. So you can afford to buy a lot of different arm/foot/wondrous items etc and get use out of them.
