Alignment Question - Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Evil?

If stealing is evil how about killing and looting lizardfolk?

    Character Build.

It's hardly a bard, it's a fighter who trades off some ability with armour for skills and special abilities with skill. Given the number of feats a fighter gets you can get armour proficiency easily enough so you're trading armour mastery for some nice abilities for most of the campaign.

Alignment Question - Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Evil?

I believe the forum approved approach is to charm him and make him give it to you

    Brainless fun

I've just started a new campaign playing a 7 int, 7 chr fighter and so far (2 sessions in) it's a huge amount of fun. Who else finds it amazingly fun to play a character like that?

No prestige classes? I'm digging it.

as a cleric or wizard you don't particularly need a capstone ability when you have 9th level spells.

Really that depends on the encounter. Against any single CR 6 creature he'll probably win initiative, if there are multiple groups of enemies including some quick ones it's not certain that they'll all act after him and what happens before he acts could impact heavily on what he can do. if he...

    Powergamer Issues

If the GM has asked him to make a character using a particular set of rules and he's refused to then I don't think that there is a place for him in the campaign. However it's really up to the GM to make the decision (as it was your job when you were running the campaign) buthaving a quiet word...

    How to punish a metagamer?

Did you have Paladins fall from grace in 1st ed D&D if they attacked a sleeping dragon? Do you have characters go evil if they coup de grace a fallen or paralyzed foe? If you actually read back you'll find it was, iirc, a Pipe of the Sewers which the character could use.

    Leveling Characters

On the whole real world training versus experience side of things. The importance of the two varies a lot depending on what you're doing, how much things change and what your level of expertise is. As you get better at something it becomes less training and more guided practice. There's a...

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Gestalt questions

My recollection of discussions of it back when it was released was that it really depends on a lot of things what's the best way to go for gestalt A problem with hugely different abilities is that you are only doing one of them a round so you're wasting a lot of potential resources and it's...

    Aasimar's Favored Class

favored classes work differently in Pathfinder. In 3, 3.5 they didn't count for multiclass xp penalties for having classes at different levels. In Pathfinder there aren't multiclass xp penalties, instead when you level a favored class you get an additional benefit (normally either 1hp or 1...

Throwing teammates (as a tactic vs flying enemies)

Several points a) the highland games weight over bar record is 16'5" for a 56lb load so the range you could throw a 137 lb person isn't going to be overly high... (New Scottish 56lb Weight for Height Record - X Marks the Scot - A Community of Kiltwearers.) b) if the barbarian is bad enough at...

    How to punish a metagamer?

Got a rules cite for that? Because I haven't seen anything in the rules stating it. Also here's your position from the post on Yesterday 06:13 PM "Charm spells are a bit different. If you fail your save you won't know you're enchanted until the spell expires." which reads as stating that you...

    How to punish a metagamer?

here's the bit from the original post " He refused to hand it over and the wizard cast a charm spell on him. Well, as soon as the fighter heard that the wizard had charmed him he waited until we had rested for the night and said that he was going to coup de grace the wizard during his watch. "...

    How to punish a metagamer?

So despite having seen fireballs w fighter couldn't guess that a scorched area full of bodies could have been caused by a fire spell? A fighter having seen slow couldn't guess that if he's slowed that he's under the effect of a slow spell? A LG fighter who was charmed by a CE wizard he knows...

    How to punish a metagamer?

he's adventuring with a wizard who's got it memorized. The odds are pretty good that he's seen it a few times before he's targeted by it. Wizards enchanting and compelling people's behavior would be standard stories unless you're playing in a campaign where magic is basically unknown. It takes...

    Building a good wizard?

Where was treatmonk insulting to the poster? it's not subsumed. It's a 1/day option on top of casting a lot of other spells. Given a choice between a character who had the everything from the wizard including normal spell casting without the arcane bond casting ability or a character who had...

    Building a good wizard?

If you have 1 specialist school spell per level that you want to memorize then unless you have an opposition school spell per level that you want to memorize then you come out ahead in terms of number of spells as the specialist.
