    D&D 4E 4e . . . the RIFTSization of D&D!!!

To be honest, I almost wish they had gone bankrupt. Then maybe someone else could've purchased the property. I'd love to see someone else's take on the setting (sans the horrendous rules).

    D&D 4E 4e . . . the RIFTSization of D&D!!!

Heh, I remember a game from years back where one player was playing a Glitter Boy, and the other was playing a Millennium Druid, I think. We'd surrounded the enemy, but unfortunately, the GM thought it'd be a good idea to roll for crossfire. So the Glitter Boy fires his Boom Gun and misses one...

    D&D 4E 4e . . . the RIFTSization of D&D!!!

Don't forget Player 3, the Vagabond, who walks around in a flimsy suit of armor, carries around a toothbrush, a bar of soap, a plastic bag, and several pieces of candy, who can't even read.

    Please call female deities 'goddesses.'

I'm for female deities being referred to as a goddess, if only to stifle the cries of "ZOMG! SEHANINE'S BEEN TURNED INTO A MAN!!!" that I'm starting to hear all over the place. Geeze, that's so annoying.

What stat bonuses do you expect the non-elves will get?

No, because stat penalties can very nearly knock out your class abilities if it reduces your stat enough. Take a Half-Orc Wizard using 25 Point Buy and the standard array. Even if he puts the 15 into Intelligence, that reduces it to a 13. If he dumps every stat increase from level 4 to level 20...

Clerics are a popular class for elves...Really?

Exactly. Note that they get +2 to Nature and Perception checks, but if it's anything like 3E, then they'll add Wisdom bonuses to those skills. And with a +2 Wis bonus, they actually get a +3 bonus to those skills. Not to mention that Rangers may need a good Wis score, for all we know.

Holiday Present - The Elf PHB entry

All elves gain a +2 Perception. Just because it's a racial ability, it doesn't mean that it's genetic. Elves are proficient with bows, too. Is that genetic? It may be as simple as the elf making hand signals to his party. Now you're just splitting hairs. Do you really expect them to make...

Clerics are a popular class for elves...Really?

As someone else mentioned, Elves could be Clerics in 2nd edition, whereas they couldn't be Druids. So where does this idea come from that they can't be "Clericy"? Elves with +2 Con?

Holiday Present - The Elf PHB entry

What's wrong with that? Aren't those things which one avoids with a Will Save? And aren't Will Saves improved by a higher Wisdom score? Here're a pair of pics, so you tell me.

They don't need to. Their own racial Perception bonus is better. Would anyone really be able to notice something like that from 30 or more feet away?

Rich Baker confirms new look of Gnomes

Check out the video. The Gnome's barefooted in that, too.

What stat bonuses do you expect the non-elves will get?

Check out the stats for the Spined Devil. Note that he's got stats of 14 and 15, yet they provide the very same bonus. It isn't the same bonus that you get from 3E stats, but it still follows the same pattern (bonuses increase at even numbers). Try playing with Point Buy. Wasting 10...

What stat bonuses do you expect the non-elves will get?

This is exactly why I love this change. What were previously bad race/class combos are suddenly possible. Half-Orcs, for instance, made for bad Bards, Paladins, Sorcerers, and Wizards (Clerics, too, at least when it came to turning undead). That's one-third of the classes in the PHB which were...

Holiday Present - The Elf PHB entry

Well, there's that and the likelihood that Druids make up a respectable portion of the Elven populace. There's probably some low-level Druid spell that helps in the creation of bows and arrows without cutting the tree. After all, Elves "build their homes in close harmony with the forest, so...

The Core Pantheon (What we know so far...) Update 3

According to the Pantheon article in Design & Development... ...Bahamut is the God of Justice, Protection, and Honor.

From R&C: Pargon Paths & Epic Destinies

Hmm. Or maybe the Swordmage is known by different names among different races? To Eladrin they're Bladesingers, to Dwarves they're Runic Warriors, etc.

Holiday Present - The Elf PHB entry

They're going with Racial Feats, rather then Talent Trees. The idea being that they don't want players to lose out on their class abilities.

What stat bonuses do you expect the non-elves will get?

A player character race is a player character race is a player character race, irregardless of where it shows up in the PHB or the MM. In the very next sentence they state that stat penalties are gone, so it seems pretty self-evident to me that any race written up as a player character race...

From R&C: Pargon Paths & Epic Destinies

I expect Paladins and Fighters will be able to take this. It'll certainly be nice to be able to become a Cavalier while still advancing as a Paladin. That sounds interesting. I wonder what you get out of Eternal Hero? I don't get this part. What does this mean, exactly? Are these Paragon...

What makes you think bonuses aren't at every even level? From the elf article.
