    Entitlement and "standard equipment"

I agree that the 'in game' approach is best. The healer is the only one left standing? That PC would decide what to do with the bodies and their stuff. If the healer can find an in game/in character way of justifying keeping the gear then let him. If he can't, but does it anyway, there...

    Wife + I LFG in NoVa/DC

I work in Woodbridge. I'll drive by the plaza one lunchtime this week and see if they are still there.

So I stepped on a gnome

I read the thread earlier before you posted the above and gradually became worried about the gnome's condition. Good to hear he's ok....and you too! :)

    Edit: never mind.

Old Black Dragon - how best to defeat?

Doesn't matter. This is D&D. For the OP: As others suggested, duke it out with the dragon. If the DM has a sense of fairness, your captive's mother and siblings will show up to even the odds.

    Regal (Royalty base class concept.)

Hi Xigbar, There are some aristocrat/noble classes here on EnWorld: http://www.enworld.org/forum/d-d-legacy-discussion/86539-links-classes-races-forum.html Just some food for thought. One thing that always bothered me about the different published versions (WotC and OGL versions) was why the...

    Conan the Barbarian

I'm with you Johnny3D3D. I enjoyed this version immensely. Some thoughts: With all the background shots this one really felt more like Hyboria than the originals. I wasn't certain about Mamoa when I heard he would play Conan, but I feel he nailed it, blue eyes or not. Lang was...

Which campaign setting is the best?

Dark Sun was fun as a change of pace for us. You don't list it, but I really enjoyed Lankhmar both as a DM and player: Lankhmar ? City of Adventure - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Cleric / Wizard

Whether Precocious Apprentice is a valid way to enter a theurge prc or not has been debated ad nauseum on just about every D&D message board in existence. I used to take the position that it didn't quality the pc for early entry, but I've seen (and played) enough theurge types that I don't see...

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Agreed, great movie. I personally don't need a sequel for this. Planet of the Apes with Heston is the sequal for me. That said, if they do a re-image of Planet of the Apes, I'll go to the movie theater to see it. This prequel was just that good.

Pathfinder 1E Paizo Announces More Details about Minis Line

When I was in the business 5 years ago, I paid 53% of the retail price for the item from my distributors. So if the retail price (suggested manufacturer's price they put on the box or book) was $100, I paid $53. This applied to dice, game books and minis from WotC and Reaper and the like. I...

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder outselling D&D

It's 25% to 40% depending on the benefits. A $100,000 a year salary will end up being a total cost to the employer of $125,000 to $140,000. This is in the US. Not sure about the rest of the planet.

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder outselling D&D

Agreed that IT probably doesn't match yours. The general rule of thumb is 1.25 to 1.4 times base salary.

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder outselling D&D

I agree with you. To add: if 4.0 had been 3.75 instead (tweeked 3.5 ala Pathfinder) I would have stayed a serious WotC customer. Now, all I ever buy of theirs is the occasional dungeon tiles (at big box book stores) or minis on the secondary market. Also, if WotC had a 3.5 ddi section (in...
