Battle Royale of the Gawds continuation

IIRC, the cost for spellcasters is only doubled if they can cast 3rd and 4th lvl spells. Also, I'd love to know how ~170 damage is not overkill to a 14th lvl PC in an AMF who's not a barb or fighter type. Judging by the AC 20 figure she's already got good dex considering she's only wearing a...

    3.5 Ranger Combat Styles

I'd just like to see an good ability unique to Rangers that doesn't just translate into bonus feats that you can use in light armor. That being said, the fighting path is a good start to improving the class. I just hope they have something else. Favored Enemy as it stands will hopefully be...

    Two Weapon Fighting

Somewhat. He doesn't take into account high crit ranges, energy effects and power attack. Oh, he mentions them, but he doesn't really take them into account. TWF's can be the damage masters. You just need to devote feats and other resources to do it. Sure it's expensive, but if your goal is to...

[A&EG] Armor enh. goes up to +8 now

The problem with that theory is that the A&EG breaks it's own rule then. Don't they have heavy armors that have a +9 armor bonus? But Bracers of Heavy fort...w00t!1!! Even if you have to take the +1 it's only 36k. And you never know when that shadow is going to come after you...

    Two Weapon Fighting

Well for what it's worth, WotC values the ability to negate the final -2 pretty highly. The only way to do this IIRC is to take the Tempest prestige class from MotW. You can't take the class until 10th level and overall it's somewhat weak. That being said, I think that a feat to negate the -2...

Looking for PrCl for Fighter/Cleric (pseudo Ranger)

They do in 1e. Don't you remember Aragorn? :D The scry thing...well he has it as a class skill, and it would guarantee that someone would need cleric levels to qualify if that is your intent. If you want straight rangers to be able to take the class then yeah it needs to go. I just thought...

Looking for PrCl for Fighter/Cleric (pseudo Ranger)

Hey, don't sound so surprised! ;) Glad you like it. In the requirements it would be cool to have something related to farseeing or divinations, maybe scry ranks. I would also recommend a certain level of spellcasting and the animal domain. You could boost the wilderness lore requirements.

Looking for PrCl for Fighter/Cleric (pseudo Ranger)

For a Hawkeye, start with a Deepwood Sniper and go from there. Boost the requirements, lose some abilities and add some spellcasting. (not +1 per level, but maybe +1 except for the levels where you get the crit multiplier increase) Although I wouldn't allow turning to stack...doesn't make much...

    Vampiric Weapons

Thx Greg. It looks llike the Sage is saying that temp HP's only stack if they're from the same source. So in the case of a vamp weapon, the d4 will stack, but it won't stack with a Vamp Touch or a Body Feeder weapon. But that would also mean that Vamp Touch would stack with itself.

    Vampiric Weapons

Does any one have a cite on temp HP's not stacking? I know that I've been allowing it. It just seemed to make sense to me. edit Especially in the case of the Vamp weapon ability. Way overpriced if it works like this. edit the second OK, just read the Vamp ability again. Not as underpriced as...

    Staff of the Magi

Well you can't use it blow up stuff very well, but unlimited summoning 9, planeshift, knock, ice storm and passwall all have thier uses. If you want to blow things up, do it by proxy. MS 9 is a good start. OK the SR sucks too. But if you want to complain, look at the DC's on the Hammer of...

Looking for PrCl for Fighter/Cleric (pseudo Ranger)

Yeah, but I really can't think of another WotC Ranger/Cleric type PrC so maybe he can use it as a template and adapt it.

Looking for PrCl for Fighter/Cleric (pseudo Ranger)

Check out the Windwalker in Faiths & Powers(?) the FR god book. It's the prototypical ranger/cleric, with some cool extras thrown in. Be warned though, it's pretty beefy. Your domains don't work with it IIRC but you might be able to adapt the class to fit your flavor.

    Time stop +death attack

I actually see it as a combination of behavior & apparent defences. I'd either rule against it, or if the player was really pathetic I'd allow it but with a reduced save DC.

Player looking to "jazz up" character

K, I'm not going to get too into this with you as it's been argued way too often on the boards. kreynolds posted a bunch of links in another thread. The only thing I'll say about it is that it's a natural enhancement bonus, which is different from a regular one. If you were correct in the...

    Normal vs. Magical Energy?

Kraedin's talking about the lilend. The incorporeal entries remain unchanged.

    Please rate Shield Charge

I give it a 7, but that drops to a 6 if you rule that imp shield bash forces you to bull rush every time you hit someone.

    Normal vs. Magical Energy?

There's a difference. Check out incorporeal creatures. They're immune to non-magical fire, cold and acid for instance. Best place is under incorporeal status in the DMG.

    Frenzy and Sneak Attack

But by that logic a rogue can't power attack and sneak.
