A bit late, but I'll chime in since this has come up in my game a few times. From the description of the spell, the ancestor spirit deals a sharp blow to the target. so I simply used that and said it would effect undead, sticking with the fort save. It's worked pretty well.

I'll happily pimp Fantasy Hero, it's an excellent system with great flexibility. Considering my 3.5 game as a samurai flying around and is only 13th level, I'd say the super hero element comes in just as fast in d20 as in Fantasy Hero.:)

True enough. Though Go Go Yubari would be at least the same level. I would definitely add cleave to help her mow through those hordes of subordinates.

Funnily enough, the Pliocene Exile series from Julian May. Alot of cool characters, good depth of motivations. No real "Bwahaha, I'm a villain!" characters but plenty of conflict and opposing desires. My favorite series for vivid characters. In fact, I think I'll read it again.:)
