I've seen a few good Dubs. I was fine with Ranma 1/2. On the other hand the first time I heward Tenchi Muyo dubbed I had to turn the TV off quickly, the voices for some characters were simply so bad.

The english dub is really bad and well worth ignoring. The original is silly fun.

On the other hand, a fun anime that's close to DnD in some ways is Slayers. El Hazard and Escaflowne are both good fantasy series but with twists. And for silly fun, Bastard!

Especially the famed Thunder Lyger. An in joke on Japanese wrestling most people won't get.:) Top creature would have to be the dragon for power and iconic status. Next maybe the orc for it's iconic status as arrow fodder. After that it gets a bit tougher.

In addition to other excellent movies already mentioned... When The Wind Blows. An interesting animated movie about a british couple that survive a nuclear war. It's fairly low key, no big explosions, and spends alot of time on the dreary and lethal aftermath. A very sad movie.

I thought it looked promising but they lost me in the first five minutes when they insisted on started with a morality tale about whaling. Don't know why, but it just felt like a blatant addition to make someone with an environmental slant happy. I turned it off then.

Favorite would have to be the John West Red Salmon commercial that features him fighting a bear for a salmon. Nice funny fight that ends with the guy pointing to the sky and when the bear looks up, he kicks the bear in the groin and steals his salmon. Very funny.

At the moment, I'm reading about the Big Rip theory and the suggestion that the universe not only keeps expanding but the expansion keeps accelerating until it's ripped apart. Impossible to prove any of these theories but they are interesting.
