D&D 4E Which 4E adventures did you play?

I have Lost City but haven't run it. The collaborative nature of the early Open Design projects meant that there is a real need for a strong editor to make sure the various sections are tied together clearly for the DM to run the adventure. Certainly in Halls this could have been done better –...

D&D 4E Which 4E adventures did you play?

My favourite was Courts of the Shadow Fey – lots of courtly intrigue, mystery and duelling in the Shadow Realm. Luckily this one is also the right level for your PCs and the only one of the three that was released publicly – Wrath and Halls were patron-only projects. Cheers Rich

What are people taking from 13th Age to use in 3.xE D&D or Pathfinder?

Hi, We've been using the escalation dice in our 4e games for several months now. I am going to introduce the awesome flee rule the next time the PCs are in trouble, and will be asking for one unique things the next time people make characters. Cheers Rich

    Weddings in RPGs

Yes, both bride and groom are members of the Platinum Knights, a chivalrous order of paladins and clerics. The other thing I perhaps should have said is that the person playing the PC bride is retiring her character in favour of her black sheep sister, a sorcerer, with possible connections to...

D&D 4E Which 4E adventures did you play?

Hi, I've played Keep on the Shadowfell, Thunderspire Labyrinth, Slaying Stone and several decent Dungeon adventures, all of which were enjoyable. We are currently playing the 4e conversion of G1 which is also fun, but is basically a lot of combat, taking a long time to play through. I've...

    Weddings in RPGs

Hi, One of the PCs in my long-running Parsantium campaign is marrying an NPC next session. Has anyone roleplayed a PC-NPC wedding before? Any top tips on fun things to happen or suggestions for a fantasy wedding ceremony? The bride and groom are dragonborn and worshippers of Bahamut. Cheers...

Parsantium City Sourcebook - now on sale!

Hi, Today, while Kate has been working her way through her first edit of the lengthy Gazetteer chapter – at 43,000 words, it’s the biggest in the book by a long way – I’ve been drawing a map of the hideout of the infamous Golden Scimitars criminal gang in the tunnels beneath the Old Quarter. I...

Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle: A Railroady Adventure and Exclusive Gen Con D&D Next Softcover Ruleset

Very thorough and enjoyable personal review! I managed to get a copy – someone going to GenCon kindly picked one up for me – but haven't read it yet. From what you are saying the approach seems very different to the much more freeform Murder in Baldur's Gate.

Parsantium City Sourcebook - now on sale!

Glad you like it! We're deep into editing the text – all 93,000 words of it! – so there probably won't be much in the way of updates on the book for a while, although I will try and preview some more art on the blog when I have it. I'm also looking at providing some guidance on using...
