Any chance I could get someone to add my company to the review database and also allow me to add products as they become available? The company is: Tricky Owlbear Publishing, Inc.
Thanks in advance!
As of this auspiciously dated day, Tricky Owlbear Publishing enters the gaming community as a publisher! Headed up by noted freelance writer Bret Boyd, and his tech-savvy brother Scot, Tricky Owlbear is primed to offer new and innovative products for the d20 system and beyond. Tricky Owlbear...
I'm more of a look at the content type purchaser. If it has an author attached to it that I've heard good things about then that only solidifies the purchase. Game books are like trips--you go on them because you like the advertised destination; authors are like the tour guides--you'll enjoy...
I suppose I'm biased but I've used plenty of 3rd party material. Back when d20 was in full bloom, non-WotC designers could better flex their creative muscles on things that both interested them and that didn't have to sell a gagillion copies to be profitable (and were therefore given the...
Hopefully before 2008. :) And what about Vol. II? I pray that the bulk of the writing at least is done for this. We're just about halfway through '07 here and the fans* want themselves some updated nostalgia.
*Okay, maybe it's just me that wants that.
Yes, feed us poor folks some news! I'm hoping that at least the classic adventures can be fully upgraded to 3.5. (Yeah, I know they said they hope to, but in the publishing world, that means "if you're lucky.")
*rolls eyes* Then those people (and some in this thread) need to remember that they can do whatever the frak they want with published resources. Don't want your FR in your Greyhawk? Then just don't use the phlogiston set-up (or Planescape for that matter).
I thought Spelljammer was fantastic...
The pdfs of BtS out already will be collected into print format at some point (hopefully not too far in the future). This is dependant on the very busy Mr. Reed, however.
Indeed. Instead of getting flustered, I decided to write a couple Adventurer Essentials for Skortched Urf. If anything, products like these are flattering if they truly were inspired by Behind the Spells (which I'll be rebooting once my Tricky Owlbear company gets off the ground along with its...
I don't have much to add here beyond what my esteemed colleagues have already stated except to recommend Adamant Entertainment as a publisher. AE stands out since it already produces piratey goodness and is a premiere vendor at RPGNow.
In addition, you mentioned having someone publish it and...
Our group played a few adventures but it either didn't hit a chord with us or we simply had/have too many other campaigns going on and too few hours to play them. A shame it never took off with fans enough to warrant its continued publication (that's my assumption for its termination).
Hi Frost. Nothing official here but I wrote something in my Behind the Spells series dealing with this topic. Maybe you'll find it useful...
If you are of equal or greater caster level (arcane or divine) than the controller (the spellcaster responsible for animating the undead in the first...
I considered the family angle as well but decided that, if something unforeseen pitted us against each other, I would just walk away. I'm a pretty easy going guy and nothing's worth losing family over.
