Teflon Billy's post-ENnie Haiku Contest. WIN TONS OF D20 STUFF

Thanks for Orc and Pie! I did one for the deadline the others for fun. Seriously, though, what a fun contest. Thanks for the honorable mention, Teflon Billy! I look forward to next year's contest. (I can hope, can't I?)

Teflon Billy's post-ENnie Haiku Contest. WIN TONS OF D20 STUFF

Freebird, Simple Man, Call Me the Breeze, Tuesday's Gone, or classic Sweet Home? Darn grammer police! Check my poetic licence then leave me alone! :) :) Let me do one more: To paraphrase Henry's sig: Come on Teflon B!

Let me clarify. I was just paraphrasing when I qouted Tom.

How often do you restart/change campaigns?

Four years and counting! The original characters began at first level, and have now reached 14th. After we hit Epic Levels and retire, I'd like to start something a little shorter, maybe a year or so. Bear in mind that we only play a couple of times a month.

As Tom Petty said, or, rather, as he once sang: the waiting is hard.

d20 Modern vs. controversial D&D rules

Regarding Haste I don't think that the D20 modern haste is that bad. The problem I see with Haste as it is is my players use the damned spell in every major fight. I'm not talking about the wizards...I'm talking about fighters with Haste potions, rogues with wands, etc. In my opinion, any...

[OT] Let's play 'name that poster!'

I'll do the easy ones: 7. Alis2o 12. Eric Noah 14. Upper Krust 2. I'm guessing SHARK, though I'm not sure why... 4. Piratecat? Although I'm not sure...could be too easy.

    scarred lands poll

Your poll would probably be more useful if you included a negative response, such as "Haven't Played" just so that you could gauge responses. Just a thought.

    Which Modules to run?

Well, its for 13th level characters, but I'm about to run Monte Cook's The Demon God's Fane for one of my groups. I highly recommend it. Its only a $5 PDF download. PDF adventures are nice because you can write on them, print out extra pages, whatever.

[OT, but fantasy-related] Have you seen the film The Whole Wide World?

Sure, I've seen it. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I have a friend who is a big indy movie buff, so he rented it and brought it over shortly after its original VHS release.

(ot) Piratecat has met his match! (caution: lots of images!)

Geez Ancalagan...that thing makes my eyes want to cross. All of a sudden the Umber Hulk's confusion gaze makes a lot more sense. I looked at your little mythos kitty for only a few seconds and ended up walking away in a random direction, attacking a coworker, and just standing still for 1d4...

    [OT] Blues Clues

How old is your daughter? Until my schedule changed a few months ago, I used to spend the mornings with my 2 1/2 year old son watching PBS and Nick. I recall seeing Blues Clues reruns where Steve would get a letter and say "its a letter from our friends Bob and Chrissy" or whatever. I'm not...

    OT: Share useless Trivia!

As far as the eight spiders a year thing, here's what http://www.snopes.com/index.htm had to say about it. Claim: The average person swallows eight spiders per year. Status: False. Origins: Oh, yuk! It's hard enough to avoid those horrible wriggly things while we're awake, and now...
