Maybe I misunderstood you but, what I said was that with the modifications I proposed you could play up to 3rd level as you want (heavy armor, etc.) and by the time you choose the fighting style, if you like the concept of a lightly armored fighter and built the character towards it (high Dex)...
I see... I also posted my ideas over at RPG.net and there what was commented as being one of the major problems was the relative impotency that Fighters (and Rangers) face against spells' high DCs, even with moderately optimized spellcasters, and the Mettle option not being enough to counter...
After reading through most of the threads already posted that have discussed ways to improve the standard 3.5 Fighter, I thought I might as well give a shot at a custom fix, taking into account what seem to be the most commonly perceived problems with the class, namely, lack of versatility...
This, paired with the Armor as Damage Reduction alternative rule, could be a possible solution to your dilemma, without taking away from the importance of having armor available.
I agree with these advices. eBay would be your best bet for getting what you want at the lowest available price, but it requires some work in the form of patience and keeping regular watch. RSS feeds are your friend in this endeavor.
Amazon marketplace and NKG are also good choices, where you...
To compliment jdrakeh's comment, I also think that, in an age where video games, board games and card games have become more and more developed in regards to the provided experience, with a relatively short set up and play process, the table-top RPGs have suffered from having more complex...
I wish someone payed Rich Burlew enough money, so that these updates were daily.
Oh, do I miss the days when I started reading OotS, and it was already on its episode #600+. I had so much to look forward to, and so little to wait... :p
Sounds reasonable.
Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to get this, I'm afraid I'll have to wait until better financial times. Even at the reasonable $49.99 price tag, shipping to me is too expensive: $39 for economic shipping (without tracking), and the other options are above $100 ($199 for...
Thanks everyone for the replies. :)
Thanks, Claudio. I will check Oryan's list. :)
Thanks, Oryan. I'm mostly looking for a mix of male and female minis that can be used to represent most of the core 3.5 classes. Of course, it wouldn't be possible to find a mini for every situation (my math...
I've been considering for some time now getting some miniatures for player characters (never used them before), and would like to ask the more knowledgeable among you where would be the best place online to buy PC usable minis. I've checked a few places and it seems that prices have been going...
The Evil Eye is a great adventure. It's set in the Domain of Invidia, and it includes quite a lot of information on the setting, an interesting plot with compelling villains, and multiple possible endings.
The boxed set Bleak House is also a really good adventure. It revolves around the famed...
Well, I've managed to find a copy of Dungeon #124 on eBay, and it should be on its way shortly, so I may as well try to hunt down the rest of them.
So, if anyone around here has other AoW Dungeon issues in good condition that you wouldn't mind parting with (for a reasonable price), I'm all...
