It would be so awesome if Mr. Mearls and co. expanded on this, allowing you to make the Keep a base of operations and then expand off into the Caves. If they don't, I guess I'll just do it myself. :D

In 3.5, most NPCs in Eberron are less than 5th level. Players who start nearing level 10 really start to become legendary. That said, how do you think Eberron will/should handle the level tiers? Do you think the default 4e level tiers matches Eberron's style already?

Thought so. I jumped straight from the Basic Set to the Rules Cyclopedia and was blown away. I wish I still had that book. I've found it online, used but in great condition, for $55. I'd be tempted if 4e didn't look like it was going to scratch this itch for me.

I believe the Rules Cyclopedia was a compilation of all of those except the Immortals stuff right?

I've had this same feeling as well. 3.5 left a really bad taste in my mouth, to the point that I was considering going back and running some OD&D to get my "kick in the door" dungeon adventures. So when I started hearing more about 4e, and the retro-direction it was going, I was pretty happy...
