True enough, but this isn't just fitting the pleasing pattern, it offers more options for players who like certain types of characters but want a little variety to spice it up. Nothing wrong with that.

So apparently classes are being designed to fit into one of the following roles: Defender, Leader, Controller, & Striker And apparently the PHB1 will deal with three "power sources" for characters; the arcane, divine, and martial. So why not put a class of each role and source in the PHB? For...

The series was getting back on track. Despite a few bad books, I was always a huge fan. He will certainly be missed. :(

Or they could spend an hour going through threads and picking posters who seem like good candidates. They could start with the "playtesting" thread on the "4e Rules" board where people have already stated they've got groups ready and willing to test.

I suspect there will be a magical enchantment similar to flaming or ghosttouch (or whatever the new equivalent is) that makes the weapon function as one of the four components. For example a wandstrike longsword +1 or a set of runic full plate +2 that functions like a tome. I really dig this...
