I need a little help looking for a piece of art. We just moved into a new place and I'd like to get some lithographs for the walls. The piece in question comes from 2nd edition (or maybe even OD&D). It depicts a group of victorious adventurers hanging out under a tree. From one of the branches...

Or, some spells could have multiple casting times. So you could cast Cure Mod Wounds as a 2nd level spells for a standard action, or a 3rd level spell as a swift action. Or for that matter, we just need one Cure spell that can be cast at different levels. I'm all in favor of more versatility...

I've been working on a setting for a while now, but I've actually been doing it for GURPS. That said, I've had another setting brewing in the back of my head that works perfectly with WOTC's "points of light" design. Long story short, the races of this planet, fearing invasion by Mind Flayers...

How about this then: Cure Light Wounds = Heals an amount of hit points equal to your level. Cure Minor Wounds = Heals an amount of hit points equal to 2x your level. Cure Serious Wounds = Heals an amount of hit points equal to 3x your level. etc.

The problem is that so many of the people buying those books don't play the game. So they may be slobbering drow fans, but why would they pay $25 for a set of 5 unpainted minis that they'll never do anything with? For those to sell, the customer has to be: A D&D player. Love drow Decide that...

It certainly makes sense that if they are going to go to 25th level spells, they may as well go all the way to 30th? I think it's safe to assume we'll see 30 levels of spells.
