I don't know if there is any mechanical benefit to attacking it while it is grappling the other creature. Maybe just wait for one of the two to come out victorious and then decide if we want to attack it.

I figure that's OK, I mean there isn't really anything we can do about it unless one of the jedi can Move Object him at a faster pace. Either we wait for him before moving out, or just stay in contact with Targo via commlink and let him know if we need them to hurry up.

I'll say that based on my RL experience in the military, that isn't necessarily true. I think a lot of it depends on the light source. Chem lights can be a bitch to see in the dark from even a distance of a few 100 meters.

I'd say without lights, or only minimal lights like lightsabers. It's a shame none of the D&D rulesets have ever done a good job with determining how far away lights can be seen in darkness.
